Strawberries have a peak growing season of Late spring through to Early Fall. If you want the sweetest ones you get them then or buy it frozen. They usually flash freeze them straight from the farm. Otherwise you take your chances with a case.

Maybe you could order something from the Grinch menu at McD's or Wendy's or maybe even Crazy Bread with Pizza? Or make it a Popeyes night with a good ol' beer?
