I tried to have a little financial audit with my mom after I found out that she practically gave the bank $300 in over draft fees in a month and she pulled similar manipulative tactics like that lady did. Everyone at work could tell I was on the verge of tears after the conversation I had with her via text. As her son all I ever wanted to do was help but the only help she ever wanted was more money which I couldn't/can't provide. She now has about 10 different credit cards saved on her Amazon and it hurts seeing someone slowly destroying themselves while blaming the problems on everyone and everything but themselves.

Hearing the Foxu describe caffeine intake reminds me of the time one of my officers in Kuwait drank a thermos of Death Wish Coffee without knowing what Death Wish Coffee was at the time. actual idealism is real and the bedrock/foundation of fascism. what i believe they actually refer to is "self actualization" which in itself isn't the ideology but it is an important part. "ideal" in itself refers to the sacred/god with the sacred and god being the embodiment/aspect of being the ideal. self actualization in short is embody/copy the divine in yourself to reflect the sacred/god in yourself back to the sacred/god and as both the sacred/god and person reflect each other to each other god becomes real and heaven on earth is/can be created. for fascism and other types of socialism the state takes the form of god and usually it requires the entirety of humanity to do self actualization(be socialist of whatever type) for this process to complete. the recent commie alphabet movements also use this in their "identify as whatever" as being part of their self actualization

So by checking the existing balance status - which you can probably just do in the phone app for free (if the bank has one) - they're losing additional money. Banks can be super predatory about this so I never interact with ATMs. And if I ever had to, I'd check my bank to see which brands of ATMs I can use for free with their card. My local shop can add a cash withdrawal item during checkout for free if I ever needed it.

technically thats not how money works at all. how much each individual unit is worth in raw numbers is pretty much arbitrary. how much they can produce and what that money will buy for you matters more. for example. Japanese Yen was considered much stronger than the US dollar in the late 90s even though it was still 80 yen per dollar. its real exchange rate made it a powerful currency, not its numerical value. This becomes important if you ever wanted to take a job in another country. decades ago i had the opportunity to accept a transfer to another countries branch of my company and it was a country i really wanted to live in. the position would have been considered a lateral move, but the pay was somewhat confusing. at the time, i was making around 60k a year, however the people at my level in that country in the same company were making an amount that in their country would ahve been like me only making 39k a year. effectively taking a 1/3 pay cut in my lifestyle to do the exact same job. technically that countries currency was considered stronger than the USD, but the average wage of the people in that nation was significantly lower while the cost of living was much higher.
