Heres some explanation of the cards and what they do Lady and Lovely are the big boss monsters Extra deck is not needed at all for labrynth Lady is clingy and summons herself whenever you activate any labrynth card. She also lets you search out a different trap when you activate one Lovely lets you recycle traps from your graveyard. Also when a monster leaves the field because of a trap effect she lets you destroy an opponents card in hand or field Arias can let you activate either welcome on opponents turn if going 2nd Arianna is mainly used to search field spell or the welcome traps Ariane is used to summon arianna Chandraglier/torbie are used to set a labrynth spell/trap - best discard targets for them are rollback, back jack and each other Cooclock lets you activate a trap you set immediately - traps usually have to be set for 1 turn before use Labrynth labyrinth lets you destroy 1 card after any welcome effect and if using non labrynth traps you can special summon anything from hand or grave Welcome labrynth summons from deck and if it is in grave it can recycle if a monster leaves field from trap effect Big welcome summons from anywhere then returns monster to hand - this triggers the many effects that require a monster leaving the field from a trap effect Ghastly glitch destroys a card and sends 1 from deck to grave - best target to send to grave is back jack torbie or chandraglier If Transaction rollback is in grave it copies a trap effect in your grave - could be an extra welcome or an imperm or anything you need Daruma cannon shuts down everything like a big panic button when you see them have a big monster Back jack is best used on opponents turn - Back jack lets you change order of top 3 cards of your deck so you want to put traps on the top - then it can banish itself to let you set and activate the top card of the deck if its a trap Dimensional barrier prevents extra deck summons - if youre not sure about their deck wait till they summon an extra deck monster then activate and declare that type - light blue = ritual - purple cards = fusion - white cards = synchro - black cards = xyz - monsters that are half spell = pendulum - dark blue with a hexagonal pattern = links Link monsters are unaffected by dimensional barrier Other useful traps: Trap Holic: UR recommended 2 copies Lets you destroy a spell/trap and set a trap from deck - you can chain it to destroy other traps you activated and the effects will still go off Dominus Impulse: UR recommended 2 copies Negates any effect that summons a monster - Can be activated from hand Evenly Matched: SR recommended 2 copies You have to give up main 1 and battle phase but it makes opponent send their own cards to grave to match how many you have - they would only have 1 card since evenly would be the only card you control - great for going 2nd - can be activated from hand if you have no cards Magic cylinder/magical cylinders Mostly just a funny card for memes When opponent attacks you can send the attack back to them - if magical cylinders is in grave you can make the damage doubled Ik this is a lot of text but I hope this is helpful and feel free to add more or correct me

Congrats on your 1st day of Yugioh College! I see love at first sight with some of the monsters in your class. You did fairly well in grasping some things quickly. We're rooting for you in the Inkwell Realm.

Nice to see you play some yugioh, it gets incredibly complicated, but once you stick to a good deck for some time you'll learn many things. Would love to duel against you and some other novelites willing to play. Thanks for the stream, Shiori

You’re learning pretty quickly, considering how complex the game has gotten (I was familiar with it back then, but now? Yea not so much). Don’t have much tips-wise other than just keep reading your cards and practicing your deck until it becomes second nature for you! Thanks for the stream, Shiori~n!

2:26:33 that way of thinking may get you to the shadow realm Don't worry Shiori, take your time learning the card combos. Good luck Shiori on the tourney!

Shiori did great! You are indeed a fast learner, it's just that this game is very complex and just scratching the surface seems like an impossible task. But it will get better the more you play, don't worry! Thank you for the stream, remember that you are amazing and I always believe and cheer for Shiori! As for tips: I don't know your specific deck, in fact, I don't know any deck that isn't my deck and I kind of adapt and memorize the trending decks of the moment (which was mostly Ryzeal, when I attempted ranking). It worked for me until platinum… Then I stopped playing because I have stage-fright but with videogames. Keep in mind I'm not very good! But what I always do is have a plan for the "win-condition" of my deck, that could be some "boss monsters" with strong effects or a full board that has many defensive proprieties and get there as cleanly, safely and quickly as possible. You should also have a plan B (and C ) in the eventuality you'll get stopped during your ramping towards the win-condition. You will get to know when your deck is most vulnerable to hand-traps and try to play around it. Baiting their hand-traps with a clear line to plan B is also a possibility. This is mostly for going first decks (which is what I recently picked for myslef). While, for going second decks, my usual strategy shifts and it becomes much more interactive because I need to either break the board of who went first or at least inflict as much damage I can or, if it's possible, just one-turn-KO them. I always keep in mind that my thought process to win is similar if not identical to the thought process of the opponent: they will have a win-condition and a plan to get to it, so I try to reflect my own weaknesses in their plan and exploit them. That said, failing is part of the learning process, so don't worry about it. It will happen that decks that are built better to go first will instead go second due to the coin toss, that's why the "strategy" needs to have some flexibility: hand-traps and interactive cards will get you really far and can disrupt the plan of the other player partially or completely. Notable ones are Ash, Imperm, Ghost, Impluse, Mulcharmies, Droll and the very hated "Maxx C". I specifically think that some copies of Ash, Imperm, Droll, Mulcharmy and Maxx C are practically mandatory but there are exceptions based on meta trends, decks and opponent's decks. I don't know if it's allowed to know which deck your opponents will choose but, if it is, you could hand pick the hand-traps by focusing on exploiting their weaknesses (for example, some meta ago if you knew you were going against Maliss deck, you would slot Lancea which made them turn void or miserable). And most importantly, just have fun! If you get stressed out by the informations or too many advices, just play the game and have fun. If you play with Novelites, some day, I will try to join with my silly-abomination deck that is not very good because it contains multiple engines and can brick very easily. It consist of the archetypes I like the most. I promise that even if one of these archetypes is very scary for the player-base and will probably start shouting at me, I will not go full-combo even if I have the chance with a perfect hand draw! Ever! Promised! I just like the cards and I think you could like them too, their appearance is based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland!

📝Quick Notes 4:55 | Start 52:34 | "Good God this is more complicated than College Guys!" 57:14 | "... Good God! I went to College Guys! Good God!" 58:20 | "Butler summons and sets one- Man I'm just gonna get a real Butler at this point!" 1:08:53 - 1:11:48 | Shiori being a Dark Sanctuary PNG stand. 1:46:38 - 1:46:53 | Shiori becomes a Vampire Lord PNG stand. 2:29:08 - 2:31:40 | Shiori "totally not loosing it" as The Heart of the Cards fills her with such distraught.

In her first amount of practice duels, Shiowi was equipped with a binky and baba for she was baby, but at least she is learning the tools of the trade while also still drooling about vamipre dudes and screaming. Glad to see that hasn't changed but still it was a nice stream to see you learn how to play the game and a fun time sink overall despite being baby. Great playing Shiowi❤❤❤!

Good luck in the tournament! Labrynth is very fun to play with and you can be very flexible with deck building. I play a variant where I swap all the furniture monsters for trap trix and trap hole cards. They have 'generic' extra deck monsters so you can open the maid servants, grab silver castle, make Rafflesia and just set every trap possible. Archfiend can be big but with lovely lady and silver castle as your targets for big welcome it can be redundant sometimes. Practice helps no matter what you use Have fun!!

My only knowledge of Yugioh is the anime i watched as a kid, and it kinda goes to show how much of the technical stuff behind the duels completely flew over my head Thank you for the stream, it was fun pretending to know what to do with you!
