Regarding the suction assisted birth, I recall a creator I used to watch (was it Adam Savage?) in one video talking about his son's childbirth, and how this procedure, due to the body's positioning, crushed / tore / otherwise damaged the nerve in the baby's arm. It took a long time until the parents noticed that the baby wasn't using one of its arms at all. Medical analysis revealed that expensive surgery and then rehabilitation was needed, but the delivery hospital refused to accept liability. Fortunately, a charity-funded hospital took on the task and the son made a full recovery. The creator then reciprocated by holding fundraisers for them. For some reason that story stuck in my mind.

36:03 I was always a religious conservative, but what pushed me further right was being a missionary in a 3rd world country. Shattered any illusion I had of universalism and the blank slate. Then I enlisted, and that stripped away the last notion I had that government involvement in anything was ever anything more than a necessary evil.
