@Kirsche , Look up the Canadian MAID rabbit hole when you have the time. The Canadian governement tried to force a private institution offering palliative care, the Delta Hospice Society. They refused for the obvious reason that it's a palliative care private institution. The government seized their 35 years lease, revoked it, seized their buildings, and took over their entire thing to offer governmental services with MAID. Look up what happens to the old people that have singed their cards to be organ donors.

I noticed some people in chat were a little worried about current events going on with Iran so allow me to say this. If you ever feel anxious or uneasy during these times, take a deep breath and relax. You will be okay. Things will work out. For we've made it through far worse.

21:01 I only ever worked with two that didn't cause lots of problems, and as hard as they tried to stay out of it the others still tried to drag them into drama. I also knew of one who was an attempted barracks bunny - I say attempted because even the desperate lower enlisted of the barracks turned her away. I can't remember if this was before or while she was married to a guy in my unit, but he was born Russian and yet she still managed to drive him all the way through alcoholism and out the other end into sobriety.

As a veteran, I can say that we are often shamed for seeking help in the past for our issues. For over 20+ years I was stuck at 20%, and then finally got the right help to getting myself up to 90%. And I feel weird for it, however when anyone who signs on the dotted line also the government is required to “fix anything that they broke” during service, to kinda dumb it down. Veterans “disability” should be recontextualized as veterans “compensation “ as that is how the payments received are allocated. Also, many don’t understand that by signing on in that dotted line, the US Government already sets aside an account if you will, should you ever be considered 100%, for any and all reasons. It’s budgeted that way.

I appreciate that Kirsche is willing to engage with ideas she doesn't like. It sucks to make hard choices, especially when it involves the likely outcome that other people will get hurt in the process. She doesn't like war, but she is able to recognize that sometimes a nation must fight enemies in other parts of the world because the alternative will be worse for everyone. It's not always clear when that time is, but I appreciate that she's nuanced enough to know that such a time exists. Stay strong and stay happy, Kirsche! We've got strong and brave men on our side, and a good God to help us make the right choices!

Dear Diary, You never realize what you have till it's gone. i scrolled down only to see an empty void where the time stamps usually are. This must be how early explores felt when looking upon early America's shores. I feel lost and afraid without the comfort of a map of events to come, but i chose the VOD life & i've had it far too good for far too long. As someone who also time stamps VODs I should have known better than to be overly reliant on others hard work. I have grown lazy and complacent while not showing enough appreciation. It's time to embrace the same strength & fortitude of those who watch live and set off blindly into the wildness of the tabs & let God decide my fate. 1:56:41 considering some of the people I had to work with in my unit, I don't think there are enough homeless vets. The people taking the most from welfare afterwards are probably the same people who tried to get out of work while they were in, or even made everything they touched worse. The people who actually need it usually don't because they don't want to feel like a burden.
