Asura's wrath is one of those games that a lot of folks overlooked but is remembered fondly for just how over the top hype it is. Glad you're enjoyin' it so far!

After seeing your love of people like Guts, Rudo, and Asura, you def have a type for Protagonists who are fueled by nothing but pure rage. Makes sense you settled down with a much more leveled headed fighter like Piccolo

Local God Literally Too Angry To Die? Thanks for a wonderful stream for this absolutely underrated classic. The history around this game is insane from Capcom USA not knowing the game as QTE based trying to market it as a God of War competitor only to realize their audience would be more anime centric and renting out spaces on streaming sites next to DBZ to the insane rage cage they did. Capcom was really weird at this point

I really hate when people misunderstand what "wrath" is. They just call Asura mindlessly angry, which is exactly what the 7 deities misunderstand about him. Wrath comes from the hopeless feeling you get when someone has wronged you, you know that they wronged you, and they're staring you in the face while you are powerless to do anything. That guttural, sorrowful, and bottomless rage you feel as you break down and cry. You can't control it. That's what happens at 4:26:00. Asura is not directing anger. He's not powering up to righteously fight the bad people. That deep sorrow that most can't express or show in a way other than shakes and cries comes out as pure energy for him, encapsulating his entire being as it takes him over. He becomes wrath.

Never would I expect to see Asura's Wrath in 2026, from Hololive no less. One of my favorite games, so underappreciated, might this be a turning point...

Asura's race are highly advanced ancient humans that became basically demigods overtime, with the help of godly Mantra energy Asura trained since childhood and was chosen to be a cyborg general

13:47 5:39:54 Leading up to the release of Asura's Wrath, the Capcom booths at various Cons had a glass booth that could measure how loud you can scream. If you went above a certain threshold, you got a cardboard headband of Asura's hair. The ones that hit that limit were usually those with high pitched voices so most of the winners were girls or little kids. Those who didn't got a ribbing from the staff, usually along the lines "lol, you're not angry enough."

Apparently the random girl and Asura's daughter share the same JP VA. So they share the same appearance and voice, which makes Asura extra angy.

Oh hey, I just realized today that Yasha's English VA is the same as TF2 medic. I never would've guessed.

There's two types of demigods: Human-like demigods as Imperor Strada, Durga and Mithra; and cybernetic as regular solders, big sumo-demigods and the Eight Guardian Generals (Olga could be less cybernetic)
