At one point, my rather impure motivation for learning English was the idea that, as a Japanese person, I might get a bit of attention if I could speak it. Because of that, I tried to pick up natural English through clipped videos of VSPO EN members. A year has passed, and in the end, the only thing I managed to keep up with consistently was Valorant. How pathetic of me. With this confession as my atonement, I now swear—staking the pride I’ve newly taken on as a Tobidachi!—to continue studying English without giving up. My new goal is to be able to talk with VSPO fans from all around the world. I’m deeply grateful for the strange twists of fate brought by late-night Swift Play sessions, for the kindness of Eris’s listeners, and for every single encounter along the way.
