I recommend watching a guide for the character that speaks to you the most on Cygames EN official channel before challenging Flayon! All characters have a fairly easy to grasp playstyle centered around their unique button

Just imagine you playing the piano. The keys are the buttons and the tempo is the combo. The characters are the piece of music.

smart mode is more beginner friendly in my opinion bc it attempts to combo for you when possible, you only need to mash the atk buttons

flayon loves fighting games I've seen him played melty blood so I'm hoping you get enough training to beat him once

If arcade gives you trouble the training mode does have a built in guide that teaches you the basic controls and combos for each character.

Arcade is like a trial kinda. Story is well the story. There's also a tutorial in trainng > menu > situational training
