Thank you so much for stream ruze, this is one of my favorite games I’m glad you played it My favorite trope is probably the hard headed ones who aren’t necessarily the strongest, but the kind that keeps getting back up no matter how many times they’re knocked down in a fight. People like Kuwabara from YYH. Or krilin in DBZ or Usopp in OP The ones who kinda know they’re gonna lose but they do it despite it all. “Weak” characters are often the ones who get back up and fight the most, or carry the strongest one when they can’t get back up on their own, I love that.

Q: Favorite group dynamic trope? Ugghhh this is hard 1. Weak but skilled - I like character that are assigned weak abilities but they make up for it with intelligence & efficient applications of their limited capabilities. e.g Sano from (The Law of Ueki), Eraser Head (My Hero Academia), Tokine (Kekkaishi) 2. Anti-hero with a combo of False Reassurance - Xellos (Slayers) He's really good at deceiving people without technically lying. Also a big troll and a manipulative bastard :3c 3. Brilliant, but limit themselves in some ways (eg lazyness/past traumies) - Idia Shroud (Twisted Wonderland) & Shikamaru Nara (Naruto) 4. Gruff exterior, but with a heart of gold - I love characters that seem to be assholes but they secretly support the team. 5. Harmless villain - It's better if they had terrible past traumies they're nice to their family members+accidentally cause good things to happen in the story (Dr. Doofenshmirtz) 6. I also like the found family trope, can't think of examples right off the bat but the first thought on my mind was how Zephos is like a protective parent to Hani

Love the voice acting, and appreciate you wanting to experience the game your way first rather than acquiescing to chat to get the "True/Full Experience" I don't think I gravitate toward any of the team roles in particular -- I've got favorites from each archetype across different stories. I care more about the characters feeling multidimensional rather than a cookie cut-out of their role. And in that vein, I think because The Big Guy is the role that's usually the most one-dimensional, I see it as a litmus test where I'll have more faith in the character writing if The Big Guy is interesting. Examples like Jayne in Firefly, Toph in Avatar, and Amos in The Expanse.

Vod question! I think my fav trope is the asshole character that projects a lot but slowly reveals to be an actual nice guy. Basically saying I like characters with issues :D

OTSU! Looking forward for more Deltarune streams! Yippiee!! Good job on voicing them characters! and! Yeah! You really have a good gaming sense yeah. It's been a while since I last watched someone play this game and it's refreshing to see someone play it from the start. I have mighty forgotten how things go in this game so it also feels like I'm rewatching it for the first time. VOD question answers: my favorite group tropes: Black cat and Golden Ret duo. Like, a sunshine who don't think before they act, an optimist, a goofy person.... and a smart pessimist overthinker, always press F to doubt. I like it when the cat makes the golden think, and the golden helps the cat be more trusting, be more spontaneous instead of making gazillion plans and backup plans and get them to drop their walls down and go "fuck it, we ball". OR they could both be smart, but together, they share the same brain cells, don't worry about looking dumb, and doing something dumb together. That's probably my fave dynamic. For a complete party, my favorite: - A necromancer who's all fake smiles but finds comfort in being near animals/creatures/monsters - A lax, lazy archer who wants to be a bum, and have an easy life and go "oops, ha ha I missed" but hits the target when it matters. Have a childhood friend who's diligent and a handworker... and lost that friend to a battle, so they'll honor their memory by being diligent and reach a valuable position in a guild, but still acts lax and confuses his enemies. - A straight laced leader, long sword or lance, have a good moral compass, have good intentions, and probably the only person who'll trust a band of misfits for their party. and be faced with the realization that not everything is black and white... and might end up making bad calls on one of their quests that will haunt him forever. - A charismatic swordsman with a rapier, probably rizzes anyone he sees, but is a total loser and gets his party a lot of complaints and unpaid bills from all his shenanigans. Probably owes a lot of debt and a lot of parties got rid of him. This one's probably just another temporary gig, but he ended up going a lil bit too deep and ended up staying. They probably joined in the party cause the leader lived in the same neighborhood and knew what he's like, or saved him at some point when he was in another party.. Likes flashy, high damage attacks, but is a glass canon.

VOD Q: characters that use their intelligence as a defense mechanism are always my favorites (bonus points if they wear glasses) when other characters begin to point out their flaws and they begin to “crack”, their arc (positive or negative) is always interesting to see

always fun seein' folks get into deltarune! Figured the humor would be a natural hit as far as the VOD question: My favorite team dynamic trope would be...probably the retired badass? The mentor figure that just Can't Be The Hero Anymore but can sometimes step in and remind folks why they were on the team - The popular contemporary example being Allmight, of course, but in terms of my favorite examples it'd be Laurence from Wonderful 101 or Ford Cruller from Psychonauts - Not because they're especially strong or anything, but because they spend the bulk of the story being nonsensical mentors/joke characters before deciding to lock in and get serious and demonstrate why this weird goofball the heroes have been hanging out with is spoken of in hushed tones by people who know them. Or not, depending on the story, some of them never lock in, a lot of them do the self-sacrifice thing at a dramatic moment (which is sometimes necessary to the story but I prefer the ones where they survive), but I like the idea that someone could have that kind of impact and then just...hang out and be 'normal', afterward, more or less. That make sense? Suppose another way to look at it would be the Hero of Another Story (albeit a concluded one, as opposed to one our perspective just isn't covering)

I also really enjoy the voices you do, can't wait for more!! ^^ My favorite character trope is "grown ass man with childlike whimsy" or "whimsical underdog". Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: Like A Dragon is my favorite example because he's a silly and passionate guy, so when he finally has a serious confrontation it feels so much more powerful and genuine. They're the type of characters that bring a group together and bring out the best in them. I love rooting for characters with an infectious determination, the contrast is comforting 💖

Looking forward to more My favorite character trope in a party is the comic relief character that's actually intelligent and competent when they want to be (bonus points if they're actually cunning!). He's not in a group, but Bugs Bunny probably fits that trope. I feel like he's an old textbook example of being goofy and smart at the same time, given he's always tricking and decieving his enemies . I know there's better examples but I can't remember any of them at the moment . I also like "bad guys" who're bad at their villanous roles, especially when they're goofy like Lancer

OtsuRuze~! Q: Favorite group dynamic trope? I guess the Smart Guy? I like characters that are intelligent and solve conflict with strategy and not only "my power is bigger than yours". Also, those characters typically are more chill, which is a personality type I gravitates more towards to. Best example of this trope? Imma be biased and say Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. He's the type of character that not only represent best this trope, but also represents what Togashi (the author) does best, which is making the fights more interesting by adding the strategy element to it, that makes the fight seems more like a puzzle to solve, rather than the winner be decided by who's more powerful. He's always analyzing his enemies both in strength and their core character, always keeping those things in mind before acting. But his strategies are often very risky, and leave him wrecked after a battle, because of his refusal to kill, once he determines their character. But if he HAS to... he will show no mercy. He's wise enough to know when it's the time to take drastic measures, even if he hates it. And sometimes, he knows he's the only one cold enough to take such actions for a greater good. Knowing can be painful for him. Yeah, Kurama is my fav character ever🩷✨️

Get on their good side and you have a loyal friend for life (others will question how you both became friends etc)

I actually needed a few days to think about it, but I think my favorite archetype/trope are Crouching Morons, Hidden Badasses. People that are extremely good at one thing (mainly the thing that you need to be good at to carry the plot), but they either act stupid or are stupid everywhere else. Most of the OCs I've written are some version of this archetype, come to think of it.

I really hope we get to see you finish this game. I only watched a little bit of game play way back when it first came out and never played it myself but I do really like the characters and I'm curious to see where the story is going. Personally I really like the stoic / straight laced character that gets roped into the silliness. One of my favorite characters is Trafalgar Law from One Piece. (Has been my profile pic on YT for like 10 years) He is the sort of edgy/serious character you expect from a Shōnen anime. (at least at first glance) Which is actually really hard to find in One Piece, since a lot of the characters are kinda silly in the best way possible. It's a nice contrast and when he gets dragged along with the goofiness that is so different from his own pace it's hilarious. He is always so done with everyone, but it also drags that little dork in him to the surface from time to time as well. It's really entertaining and also very endearing.

Otsuruze or should I say.... otsurune? I've been fixating on Deltarune since finishing ch 4, it's a lot of fun to revisit the early game by watching you play and brute-force the puzzles~ Good luck avoiding spoilers, on top of any backseating, youtube is full of spoilers in thumbnails, etc especially in the wake of ch3&4 coming out As for the VOD question... my favorite character tropes tend to be delinquents, punk-with-a-heart-of-gold types, big brother types, etc. so I guess they would usually fall into Lancer or Big Guy as far as group dynamics go (hence my favorite Deltarune character being Susie, fork found in kitchen). I also really like the tragic-white-haired-gay-anime-prettyboy type which I guess also falls into Lancer because theyre usually the protagonist's narrative foil if not straight-up the deuteragonist... of which the progenitor is Ryou Asuka from Devilman from whom spawned about a billion character expies since 1972 and I love them all.

Other notable Mentors would be Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) and Gandalf (The Lord of the Rings) Another character trope I like is whatever The T-1000 Terminator is.
