Calli didn't get her first death until she came up against a literal window as a boss. She's certainly improved since DMC3.

I knew Calli would immediately fall for Nero the moment she witnessed his personality, a cool boy with a hot-blooded attitude who also openly loves his girl. I think we can all agree that Nero is fυcking cool and is a league of his own. Dante may be THE legendary demon hunter, but Nero is THE legendary successor to him, something that even Dante finally admitted later on.

26:48, I probably watched this opening dozens of times before I caught Dante watching in the background. Such a crazy blink and you miss it detail, plus a shot later seem to be Dante's POV as he watches Nero tear through the enemies from the rooftop. I imagine Dante was about to jump down to save him before Nero started to SSS combo their asses into oblivion. Dante knew before even crashing into the church that Nero was special.

I'm glad Cali is loving Nero. Platforming aside, his grapple-based gameplay is fun and satisfying as hell.
