The Guardian of the Ruins stood no chance before the might of the jester! That was some beautiful Soulslike gameplay of the highest caliber, it's so fun following along and rooting for you as you learn the bosses little by little until you can read them like books! Loved the little round of tic-tac-toe you threw in inbetween the boss attempts as well. Do enjoy Outer Wilds on your new steamdeck, from the limited knowledge I possess on the game I know for a fact it'll be worth your while! It's one you can sink your teeth into during your own time, there's a mountain of things to discover. As for other games to recommend, my genres are limited for which I apologize though I would wholeheartedly suggest giving Final Fantasy 15 or 16 a whirl. Both fall under action RPGs, in a similar vein to Expedition 33 (in terms of playstyle too) with quite impressionable stories and characters. Far from conventional hero stories, these two are more somber in atmosphere. And the soundtrack is to die for! With Kpop Demon Hunters on the other hand, the tike constrict does explain part of what it was lacking in certain corners. Would have loved me more backstory and explanations to certain events/characters but it also makes sense that the Saja Boys aren't as fleshed out in order to convey their superficial image as members of a KPop boyband and them having to be the embodiment of the archetype they portray. As for the gameplay, persistence was key! Something I appreciate and adore about your Soulslike streams, actually. Not budging one inch off the ground, showing no quarter all while testing your limits - that sort of keen eye makes you one of the best players in my eyes. The big guy was a challenge, delaying attacks making himself harder to read and being unforgiving for mistakes made yet you gradually figured out the moveset and active countermeasures against it! His learning curve reminded me a bit of the Green Swamp Monster during his boss rush mode, it felt similar. The animation after his horn break was insanely cool! Empowered by an earlier clean Phase 1, he went down in the end!! What a fantastic win, wholly deserved! Obtaining the new gunblade weapon was the cherry on top, it ran smooth! A little more getting used to it with our aforementioned buddy from the swamp, a bit more trial and error and the strength in combination with the fast movement and staggers will come in handy! big man defeated B) gonna elaborate on a steamdeck game suggestion i saw someone else bring up: Tunic! it’s a 2d zelda tribute game with some soul-ish mechanics woven in. the hook is that most mechanics and objectives are only communicated through pages of the in-game manual scattered in the world so you have to use it to puzzle things out. fits a similar niche to the outer wilds from what ive heard, so not what you’d probably look for in a stream game but a Neat Experience.
