I can relate to Nerissa wanting to know the meaning of Kanji. As someone that has studied linguistics I think know the origin of words makes them more meaningful. You don't NEED to know. But it can make you happy knowing.

I was there in mid November and it was a great time, the colors were very beautiful perfect weather for a Canadian it was around 12-13 celsius. I was staying in Kanazawa at that time which was also a very beautiful city. Glad you three had a great time visiting.
