Always love seeing people discover this master class of a horror game. Especially now with the sequel confirmed to be in development by the original creators. If I may, a few tips that could help. Listen out for audio cues when the xeno is in play. When it enters a vent and your tracker makes a single beep after a few seconds it usually means the xeno is in rest mode. This will give you a short window to progress before it enters hunt mode again (your tracker will make a single beep to signal this). Music can also be a thing to keep track of as the game music will grow in intensity the closer the xeno is to you (note: this will happen even if it's in a room next to where you are). Another tip that may help is to remember that you're up against two AIs. The first AI is the Xeno's patterns (hunt/chase/search/rest/etc) and the second is the AI that knows where you are at all times and communicates this to the xeno. It doesn't tell the xeno where you are exactly, it just gives a general area for the xeno to search.
