You could either look for that weapon or try again when you resume, I think. I personally didn't fight this boss until I got that weapon and had 6 heal charges. GG, IRyS!

If it helps any, there's a Merchant in Ashina Outskirts that sells Robert's Fireworks, that unlocks the Shinobi Fireworks tool. Bringing that will stun the monkey and cut down on a looot of it's nonsense in Phase 1. I never fought this boss without it, personally. Good game tho! Remember to do some wrist stretches and take a good nap!

Hope the Wts ogey after all that. You might want to look into getting a smaller controller to help with the hand pain, i've had the opposite problem before and it went away once I found a comfier one that fit my hands. From what i've read the PowerA wireless Xbox controllers are great for smol hands like yours, you wouldn't have to worry about button prompts not matching your controller anymore either for some games! And it has RGB
