You need to take into consideration what has been pushed for in recent history and that a super majority can easily amend the constitution. To return to normal without fighting will be impossible. The country will either have states succeeding or a civil war. You're greatly underestimating what a super majority can do. Voting will not correct that damage even if elections are fair.
