Gigi hit the nail on the head on a few points here about live rp, and I agree with her about the put chat away thing during rp, because regardless if your playing light or heavy rp the goal is to leave it as organic as possible and saddly reading chat and using chat for meta knowledge just kills that authenticity (least for me it does). That being said, just as Gigi mentioned, we want the girls & everyone to have fun, so no matter what level of rp experience they have, they should just do what they're comfortably with & learn from each other, as well as listen to advise or even criticism to help themselves improve as roleplayers, (if they want to of course. We all know they already have a lot on their plate, so lets try to be as least stressful as possible). Overall great performance and story. I look forward to more adventures in chapter 3.

People don’t realize that the relationship between Shiori and Gonathon is not about choosing a side, their separation was a mutual decision that was nearly predetermined by external circumstances. Gonathon’s self-sabotage and struggle with commitment stems from an ingrained fear of intimacy and abandonment that was worsen by recent memory loss. Shiori’s “manipulations” and betrayal were necessitated by the “script” (‘determinism’ by another name) as ‘the Archiver’, she is not allowed to interfere with the inevitable and fixed progression of events except to maintain its direction. Developing feelings was a coincidence, and only another thing beyond their already limited control. Emotions aren’t a choice but it’s the emotions that determined their actions during that relationship, it’s rationality that ended it. I am so happy that two complex characters got together (even briefly). If only their relationship is considered at least semi-canon to lore (like a platonic adaptation, an additional past connection). Although, Gonathon is Gigi’s RP Character, I like to believe Gonathon is only a fragment of Gigi’s multifaceted personality, not an entirely distinct person. Gonathon’s kindness and loyalty are Gigi’s, the physical form is negligible and temporary.

I keep imagining the art piece called "The Forgiveness of Jon" except it's Gonathan with a G instead, and the eldritch horror that he's slaying is the specter of fumbling the baddie.

I was a little sad that Mordan Ramsay's excitement for a date with Gonathan fell apart and got forgotten.

You know after seeing this and watching mostly from Gonathon's POV, I realized how much Gonathon's arc reminds of of watching Adventure Time back in the 2010's. Gonathon's arc is very similar to Finn's. The first arc is definitely a very emotionally immature Gonathon trying to serve the image of a knight and falling in love with someone who while their interactions diverge in how the feelings are expressed from their love interests it still ends in an arc that leaves the protagonist in a vulnerable place emotionally. In part 2 Gonathan's arc with Shiori is similar to Finn's arc with Flame Princess. Both Finn and Gonathon both being extremely emotionally vulnerable try to rush into a relationship that neither of them were emotionally mature of ready for and while there is legitimate chemistry there due to their own inability to move past their previous feelings they start to sabotage themselves ruining a potiential relationship but eventually learning to respect themselves instead.

The fact that it felt almost jarring to see Gigi being Gigi again speaks to how good at roleplaying she was.

GG did a brilliant job at portraying an emotionally immature good person. I've loved every morsel of this ENreco, and legit stayed up all night (EU gang) to catch it live. Cant wait for chapter 3! Gonathon G certified Best Boy 🧡

It's great to see nuanced analysis of the ENReco characters from the people who played them, especially when a lot of discussion among the fandom is so black-and-white and meme-driven. People love Gonathan, but they need to realize he should *not* be treated as a role model or relationship goals. He's an interesting character because he's emotionally immature and pushes his decisions onto others, and even though he means well, he also makes some messed-up toxic choices that hurt the people he's in a relationship with. Lady Bloodflame is a similar case - she's well-intentioned, but her inability to deal with her own emotions and inner demons results in the object of her affection having a literal identity crisis. I'm interested to see where a lot of the RP-heavy characters end up next season.

I really appreciated you again this Enreco Gigi. I know plotlines weren't as clean and cut and dry this time around but you did great with all that you were involved with. I think you're the best with roleplay in EN.

The amount of emotional growth Gonathon underwent this season was phenomenal. It truly felt like we watched a young kid with big dreams grow up and mature. In season 1 he was adventurous and impulsive, but with a pure and big heart. He went out of his way to help people and do what he believed was right, and was excited to find love along the way. By the end of season 2 he has now experienced the pain of loss and grief. He's still good at heart, but that heart has been wounded and needs time to heal. The way forward from here is dark and unclear, but a sliver of the light of those early days is still there to guide him on the path to become the stalwart hero that young adventurer aspired be.

It is really cool hearing her original plans for Gonathon this season. It reminded me a lot of Steven Universe Future, where after the intense events of the show he was a disaster and needed to sort himself out. I liked the way things ended up though, as it feels like now Gonathon is set up for a gentle and heartwarming growth arc rather than a messy one. ENreco has plenty of messy arcs already. Though on the other hand the talk about Tam/Gonathon fics has me imagining a great really unhealthy romantic relationship between them. Like where Tam turns to Gonathon for comfort after one of her relationship mishaps and ends up coercing him into physical intimacy (not fully realizing how the power dynamic between them changes the meaning of her words). You would get an incredible spicy relationship between two people who are very compatible, but which is based on misunderstanding and misplaced feelings, resulting in the whole thing falling apart spectacularly.
