re: kids in school and getting in trouble for no reason, I can relate and I bet a lot can. I got in trouble in middle school for sharpening a pencil for a kid on crutches without apparently asking to be allowed to get up for my desk, and in explaining why, got sent to the office, where the assistant principal (who was a massive asshole) saw his chance to scold the smart kid who never got in trouble how rotten I was for...doing something nice for a kid on crutches? I can't say as I exactly de-escalated things because when he turned and strutted away I flipped him off, and his secretary saw and ratted me out. Then I was in the counselor's office and my mom was called in and she was crying about how disrespectful I was, and I got suspended for 2 weeks :) Never sharpen a pencil for ANYBODY.
