If you get a new PC, consider plz dual PC setup—using the new PC for gaming and the current PC for OBS&holo app! Connecting two PCs seems challenging, but technically, you already have the capability since you're using a Nintendo Switch to stream!

If you want an uncommon weapon, there's a great choice – the Hunting Horn! (Though, I don't know how to use it.) But imagine the Emperor playing an instrument!

Most importantly, this setup eliminates the need to configure the new PC the same way as the old one. It’s basically like adding another Switch or PS5 to your setup.

Sword & Shield is my main weapon in MH Now, but that game plays pretty differently. Btw you weren't going crazy, some wounds do disappear, because they only show up immediately after certain attacks, like Rey Dau's railgun.
