I'm very much looking forward to The Rise of the NUT Warrior 3D birthday singing with stories and plot! This is very random since there was barely any Dragon Ball talk this stream, but I've wanted to share some funny Hungarian Dragon Ball fun facts for a while and never got the chance until now. It'll mostly be about names (probably influenced by non-OG Japanese translations), dubs, and a few other bits. Without further ado: - King Piccolo / Great Demon King Piccolo is called Szívtelen Sátán (Heartless Satan) - Piccolo / Piccolo Jr is called Ifjú Sátán (Satan Jr) - Mr Satan is called Herkules (Hercules) - Master Roshi is called Zseniális Teknős (Genius Turtle) - Instead of "KA-ME-HA-ME-HAA!" they always only just say (it's a mood) - Dragon Ball was once cancelled when it was going on in the morning on the weekends among the cartoons for kids. According to the urban legend back then it was cancelled because a kid tried to fly at home (from a high balcony at a panel building) and it didn't work out. But in reality it was cancelled because the age rating changed to adult only because of the violence and the TV ch couldn't air it in the cartoons block in the morning, they could only air it late at night, so instead they stopped airing altogether. I was like 6 years old when this happened. The last episode I saw was when Goku first turned into super saiyan during the Frieza arc. It was and still is the biggest cliffhanger of my life, I was so mad. I could only continue it 10 years later when anime in general was starting to get more popular. - Goku is always called "Son Goku" in the dub. After Dragon Ball was in TV back then, most pizzerias had on the menu the "Songoku pizza" for a long time (maybe even today). It is a pizza with ham, mushroom, and corn toppings. The Hungarian word for ham is sonka, mushroom is gomba, corn is kukorica. Son(ka)+go(mba)+ku(korica). It was always my go to pizza as a kid Thank you for MMM Risu!
