Week in Review: Sunday Edition with talk about the 24 hour extravaganza, adventures in Japan involving laundry machines, Pokémon madness and the old reliable movies! It's been a Week with a capital W, mixing up days is natural and for me it did turn Monday as I watched the stream so you weren't that far off! The 24 hour stream in 3D was one of it's kind; all new and never before seen! Experiencing what it is like as an animal in its enclosure sort of describes it in the best way, being a watcher alone made it clear what a huge undertaking it is to stay up for such long hours and how gravely you can underestimate it if you aren't careful. Powered through to the best of my ability myself, learned a valuable lesson about how precious sleep is and that I'm not a teenager anymore who was able to stay up until the sun went up... Had an inkling about Jerry on the toilet being intentionally long to get out of the suit and back in comfortably, that thing must've become your second skin at some point. And while it had a lot of trial and error about certain elements not being able to get implemented, overall it was a huge success as Tokimane and your project! So much love and hard work was put into it, you could easily tell! A fitting end to an era that spanned over 2 years now, with lore and unforgettable memories tied to it. Or in the words of one wise jester of Guild Tempus: "Cinema." Expected no less of a professional environment, each member looked out for each other and knew their own limits. Huge shoutout once more to the staff that rotated out, staff that stayed for the entire duration of the stream and to Tokimane as well - exceptional people all over who worked hard and gave it their all to bring this event to life! What I didn't expect was that the challenges could've been completed in a longer timespan and that you didn't have to push through as you did. That surprised me, I thought these were limited to an hour and you'd have to complete 24 total or more as a reference to the length of the stream! Eating wasabi as is in the doses you did would take a grown cow out, I can't begin to imagine how that must've felt but I could picture the raging vulcano inside your stomach. Glad you managed just fine! The Worm you pulled off was fantastic, do go back to have a look at it. Also the manual explosion sound created by turning up the volume on a phone and putting it to the microphone is makeshift genius, such a creative way of making use of sound effects when resources are limited! The sword being made of foam explains the loudness of the slaps, it sounded near earth-shattering which made it all the more hilarious. Your reaction to watching the movie after returning to your hotel is what I would have thought would happen, about anything becomes terribly funny in a sleep deprived state. If you could put the Yagoo clips in membership, that would be awesome! Fingers crossed the right strings can be pulled to make it work. The person helping you with your phone charger and about anything else you needed must've had an angel's patience, how kind of them to explain everything while you were in a state of confusion! Sure, it's terribly awkward to feel as though you are stumbling through but as you said you leave a one time impression and then never again see them so it won't hurt. That said, the road ahead has been paved with work! A busy jester as always, working tirelessly for the guild. Concert preparations, Anime Impulse coming up and the ever present recordings keep you occupied, all the best with your work I hope you will find the time to relax inbetween new and exciting projects we can look forward to! Going on vacation early September is the perfect call, even better when roommates like Bob accompany you to try new things and visit the countryside in Japan! Infrequencies happen when life decides to get in the way, not a lot you can about it but know we will be here every step of the way and you won't get rid of us. You never cease to amaze with the strangest yet most amusing occurrences during you trips, don't you? Not bringing enough clothes forcing you to figure out how washing and drying works in Japan turning into a fiasco of spending too much money on it as the dryer went another empty round while a worker dusted off the tops of the machines is something that could only happen to you. Listening to that had me feel like I was sharing the pain, confusing between the two types of machines must've been nothing short of frustrating. Nevermind the dust having you sneeze to no end, that sounded downright evil. Changing topic, no matter where you go Pokémon Centers blow your mind with how packed they can be! Not surprised in the slightest with how full it was considering people bought cards and whatnot. Unfortunate you couldn't get your hands on a Gastly or Haunter plushie and had bad card pulls, you should've at least induldged and gotten the Chanedlure one! Regardless of whether you have played the Generation 5 games or no, if you like the Pokémon you like it! You're not any less of a fan for that and I say that as a veteran in the field and a fellow Chandelure lover. You calling Ghetsis the Swain of Pokémon took me out by the way, that was out of left field for me. Oh sweet jesterman, if you knew what a rotten villain that man is and I mean that - he is at the bottom of the list though I say that to convey his character writing is top notch. Blast from the past with eating food at random hours of the night, 4 am frozen pizza reminded me of the bygone days of 3 am ice cream in bed. Or Girl Scout cookies. Sometimes ya gotta eat when ya gotta eat, doesn't matter what time it is and if you feel like a cryptid doing it. Quite enjoyed the (horror) movie talk, your immense knowledge in the field continues to impress and I'm excited for potential watchalongs of a few of the ones named today! Could listen to your thoughts and opinions for hours, it's a great source for quality media! My stream notes are full of recommendations. Finding your own 3D acrylic stand instead of horse girls is a win in my book, a rare find! And yes agreed, getting anything exclusive these days means advance preparation to the extreme or else you will miss out. Though it is even worse with the Pokémon cards from the meals, people would go nuts over it to the point it turned ridiculous. I understand collecting cards is valuable as well as a fun hobby but there is a line to be drawn in my eyes when you have others buy in large quantities to re-sell at unreasonable prices. Moving on from that, hand-signed goods are special indeed, it's a precious keepsake and as such I find it truly sweet that you put in the work for us to make each card unique! Regarding drinks, it does get harder the older you get... Anything can take you out at any moment if it's a drop too much. Not big on anything aside sweet tasting sparkling wines and the like, it was an interesting topic for me to listen to in general since I don't have extensive knowledge and don't know what else tastes good.
