"Vshoujo JP is doing well" "But you haven't paid me" insanity
@cyberblah

Yesterday every mainstream article introducing vtubing would list Vshojo as one of the big three agencies and today it's almost certainly dead.

Sounds like the JPCEO for now wasnt being told the full story. That silence after Kson asked why she hadn't been paid if they are doing well was him coming to that realization.

Not gonna lie... this was rather uncomfortable to watch for the most part. I've never seen Kson this angry, and I especially didn't like seeing her cry. Hope things get better for her and the talents 🫂

33:45 "you could have paid me? then where is it? i want it now" *dead silence* 33:57 "oh, did you just die?" absolute legend

Sue for lost wages. US laws apply since they are based in San Fransico, and that's a slam dunk lawsuit. Contracts are null and void due to non-payment in the majority of situations. If they don't have the cash equity, they'd be forced to liquidate any assets to pay them.

so basically, vShojo JP in itself was doing (reasonably) well... but it was all swallowed up by the black hole of incompetence at the center of the main/EN branch which is ultimately in control of the entire company... and now it has collapsed on itself...

I feel bad for the JP CEO too. He seems very frustrated too

The talents need to know that corporate declaring bankruptcy does NOT absolve them of debt to creditors (talents). The talents can legally demand promised payments from the corporate, Even if the corporate does not exist anymore. Additionally, any personal guarantees of payment made by any officers of the company will need to be paid out, potentially out of their pocket.

I feel sorry for the JP branch CEO and I admire his courage to go on to speak in the stream. As it turns out, the JP branch had no issues regarding their cash flow but they're just a branch of the main US office and the US office is where all the money disappeared. It seems that the JP side wanted to sort it out and even separate their operation from the US main office, but they just didn't have enough time to make it happen, unfortunately.

Thank you for the stream and the transparency. You don't need to apologize to the fans, you were a victim in all of this as well. Just gonna leave this here on the off-chance that someone actually does threaten you with legal action: - Do NOT delete any videos, messages, images, or any similar materials, as this may be seen as an attempt to hide or destroy evidence (plus most of these can just be accessed from an archive, deletion just makes it difficult, not impossible). - Contact a lawyer or legal representative FIRST thing, then follow their advice. Avoid talking to others about the situation until you know EXACTLY what you are allowed to say.

jP CEO=『コンビニの雇われ店長程度』の状態だった事はよく理解した。(切り盛りはするけど殆どの権限とお金は本社が握る) あとは本社がどんだけ金をナニしてたかだなぁ

I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, WE LOVE YOU SOUCHOU! I cannot put into words the amount of respect I have for you. Being able not only to laugh about all of this in the end, but also staying so strong throughout, reassuring people, telling everyone to keep supporting other talents, and just overall being an extremely positive person even during such rough times... I truly can't tell you how much of an inspiration you are in my daily life! Thank you Souchou, take all the time in the world you need to rest, we'll be here as soon as you're back. 🫂🫂🫂
