When Gohan protects Vegeta, he loses the use of his left arm. When Gohan's struggling against Cell with only his right arm, Vegeta does a blast with his left arm, repaying Gohan in full, giving the last push he needed to win.

Despite the game cutting out a lot of important plot points of the Cell Saga, at least it gave us an uninjured SSJ2 Gohan vs Super Perfect Cell fight, something that never happened in canon (Thanks a lot, Vegeta).

I just wanted to say, I loved your performance in Hololive Schyronized. Seoul. You belting "HEADS WILL ROLL!" was the one of the peaks of my year.

I do hope, at some point, that Calli gives the manga a read at least. That would be the Dragon Ball experience in its purest form and could probably be done much quicker than watching the anime - given how busy she can get with projects. Plus, you get all of the story in the manga from baby boy Goku's start all the way to the Buu arc. Most likely easier and quicker to read than to watch two anime series. 🤭

I'm still disappointed Unmei no Hi wasn't used for that scene with Gohan, but it's still one of the highlights. Calli is going to love Vegeta in the next saga.

By the way, everyone keeps saying "Gohan is 11" but he's only 9 years old in this arc. The original English dub made him older for some reason, but after 7 year time skip following this arc the manga says he's 16. Biologically he's a little older, like 9¾ since they spent 3/4 a year in the time chamber but he's still 9. "Teen Gohan" is another English dub misnomer.

I hope she plays the History of Trunks DLC

I always think the moment Vegeta allows Cell to power up because of his pride in himself, ignoring the will of his son Trunks, and the moment where Goku gifts Cell a Senzu bean before his match with Gohan because of his pride in his son, ignoring Gohan's will to not want to need to fight or be angry, as fantastic character writing for them as foils for each other. It's a shame small parts like that were cut from the game, but the game is already 50% movie and it honestly gives the player a reason to go watch the shows so I won't complain. This whole series has been such a nostalgia trip. Shonens are really good actually, can you believe it?

A lot of hype moments in this arc, but yeah I agree that there was a lot that was skipped or cut down on that an abridged version of events wouldn't do proper justice. Still, I'm glad you're enjoying dragon ball. The best part of this though is that if you're still hungry for more Dragon Ball there's literally tons of content that you have at your disposal! Looking forward to the next saga and one of my favorite characters to get introduced!
