That's right, I'm chat who is very excited to see Control at some point in the future! I don't think every Remedy game is strictly better than the previous ones, but they ALL have amazing ideas and that weird sense of humor/creativity that makes them all so interesting. And they all... maybe have a little bit too much of the same combat after a while. The last chapter of this one was definitely the "here's all the environments you went through, here's all the enemy types you fought, encore!" chapter. Regarding American Nightmare, it's a very quick one stream game, but it's Mostly more Alan Wake shooting (not really ambushes this time). It has more weapon variety and a hilarious villain, but if you wanted one to skip, it's skippable. It DOES have a subplot that's 100% about Barry, if that's tempting. Congrats on another game clear, here's to whatever's next.

In case you're not aware, Minki - Control is a bit more gameplay-heavy but it also has a boatload of "cheats" available from the start, like one-hit kill, immortality, and so on. I know it's not "cool" to play with those and all - but it could really help you get through some of the more combat-heavy sections of the game.

Play the dlc if you want or go straight to control 2019 and then alan wake 2, the build up is worth it
