To explain everything that's happened you will need a chart on the same level as Tolkien's. Plus it's fun to find ways to customize your party to sweep the battles :3

My non-vtuber hyperfixation for the moment is modded Ark Survival: Evolved. I wish I could play Ascended, but it makes my cpu want to cry.

Vod Question: My current hyperfixation which has most definitely turned into a special interest by now is Greek Mythology. It has made its way up there with Sonic and dinosaurs for me so you know my brain is infected. I enjoy other mythologies as well, but I connected the most with Greek because of the lack of actual information, the crossing with history, and how it flip flops with Roman mythology. My absolute favorite is The Iliad because I LOVE all the different characters with different backstories explaining how they got here and why they're like this. I like dissecting every little thing and I love the mix of fiction and reality because I love fiction but also love history and also ALSO GOD DO I LOVE STUDYING CULTURE, RELIGIONS, SOCIOLOGY, ETC. Greek Mythology is why I decided IF I go to college it'll (unfortunately.. I'm the meme....) be going for Liberal Arts. It's also nice cus it made me understand my passions better.

I am absolutely loving the PT my hubby and I are doing together, but I also have been watching a lot of streamers reactions to the beginning of the game. Repo i love playing but since my friends moved on I'm starved for streams of it. My other things I'm obsessed with at the moment is doing jigsaw puzzles that are 1000 pieces. this one brand eeboo has a set called "alchemist" and it's so charming I've bought most of the series. I've done Alchemist's Kitchen, Alchemists Cabinet, and am currently sorting Alchemists Garden. I also bought Alchemists Masquerade to do after i finish the garden one. I've also been reading a cozy Japanese light novel series called "The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects" that has a stupid, but in a lovable way like Kronk from Emperors New Groove, protagonist. It's fantasy setting but the author got a lot of his inspiration from studying nomadic tribes from different civilizations.

Otsuruze! Thanks for the stream <3 My current hyperfixation is, hiilariously, vtubers. I just joined the VTuber rabbit hole about a month-ish ago and its been a downward spiral ever since lol . Waiting for the Patapon 1 & 2 remake and the Ratatan release so I can shift the hyperfixation (fingers crossed).

Vod Q: I tend to have one (1) hyperfocus that dominates my interests at a time and currently that's some weird ahh midwest fantasy vtuber and his community, smh my head. But i do cycle in and out interests in phases so some of my previous ones that i think will make a comeback at some point are Critical Role and Minecraft at least. Writing and world building are kind of on a permanent level of hyperfocus cause they've never cycled out of my interests, but instead been muted through aggressive perfectionism and mental health issues so even though one part of my brain gives me creation ideas, another part says to not do it in fear of failure. And that's obviously a faulty line of thinking but very persistent regardless. So the need to create is everpresent but frozen in time. I'm enough of an optimist that i believe i'll get back to that in time though. Another interest that's probably not at a hyperfocus level but very omnipresent as a background noise is my own damn mental health, lmao. I was already lowkey into psychology before all this, but as my ability to function has decreased over the years, my need to analyze and explain it has increased. Maybe that's partly cause i need to explain my behaviors and thought patterns to doctors and therapists etc so i've also gotten a lot better at it with time. I may not be the best at reading other people but, man, do i know the exact logical loopholes my brain jumps through to justify procrastinating for example. The challenge there is to trick myself into a dead end i can't cheatcode myself out of, lol. But i'll get there eventually. Also, sorry if bringing mental health issues up counts as a vibe destroyer: i love yapping about it and struggle to recognize when i take it from a surface level discussion to something that might bring down other people's moods. I tried to keep away from overly deep and dark topics but i never know where to draw the line. I put it here cause it is indeed a huge interest of mine but if anyone sees it as a problem, please tell me and i'll edit that part out of this comment!

Entirely too long answer to the VOD Question: So the easy answer is folklore because that's been true most of my life but I'm gonna be more specific and say a hyperfixation I ended up with because of the folklore one. Infinite flow/unlimited flow webnovels! Brief, rough definite of the infinite flow genre is characters are usually transported to a world where they are forced to complete tasks given to them by a system to survive and progress. Tasks can be more about surviving horror scenarios or about problem-solving, but there's usually a mix of themes from task-to-task, like scenarios/worlds that fit into different genres (a zombie apocalypse, a murder mystery, a ghost story, a world based around a specific work of art or folktale with a setting reflecting that, etc) Characters usually get special tools or powers as they progress to help with increasingly difficult tasks, often leading up to discovering the secret for why they've been put into this situation or what has caused it to begin with. I love horror infinite flow novels with a significant (but usually not super prominent) romance plot but what I love most of all is ones where the scenarios are heavily based on folklore from around the world and characters being able to recognize the origin and apply it to the scenario benefits their odds. Kaleidoscope of Death is my favorite novel in general and I had a reading log with every character who was in every door, clues we get, my theories on what's happening, and general notes. I also made over 2,000 color coded highlights my first read because I'm very normal about this book. (Potential mild Kaleidoscope of Death spoilers below) Kaleidoscope of Death specifically is a book where people near death sometimes encounter a series of 12 doors that lead to horror scenarios. Surviving a door prolongs your life in the world outside it and dying in it leads to you dying in the normal world shortly after. The first door is almost always more difficult than the second because it's like a placement test for newbies and I think the mortality rate for the first door is something like 90%? It's a thing that no one has ever successfully completed all 12 doors and knows what happens if you do. Time between doors gets longer as you complete them (from less than a month to years between them), there's a lot of secrecy and backstabbing among people with the doors or people who have found out about them and want them, doors have rules like conditions the ghosts inside them have to meet to be able to kill characters, though you don't know the rules before discovering them in the door aside from a few pretty universal ones (things like large groups gathered at night all fall asleep together and a death often occurs, openly killing another human participant will cause their ghost to seek revenge on you, etc). We see doors based on a painting, a TTRPG, Slenderman (it is the dumbest door if I'm being real but I love it, it's goofy), a saying, a fairy tale, etc. I just love the structure so much because I'm a neurodivergent dog type creature and. Again. All the folklore I would never learn about without the little inclusions for me to research more into? Aaaaa

It’s a 45 year history so there’s a lot to digest. been watching the series since the 90s and I just like Char and most his clone counterparts. there’s a current Gundam seriess called MS Gundamam GQuuuuuuuux which is still a differentent timeline but just a UC AU… i dont wanna say much spoilers but it’s like, Take Mika from Gundam IBO, have 2 girls have a crush on him but this time, it’s not a poly, have Mika’s VA voicee Char, and char having a disquise that is obviously him. and an excuse for animators to reanimate an old animationn scene without having to do a whole gundam, Z, ZZ, and CCA remake. anyway, I love char and I just want him to be happy. 🥹 and for people to stop using him as a political piece, a statement, a concept, for whatever gains and for him to just be human. dude’s ratherr empty and the only time he feels alive is when he’s duking it out with amuro and is willing to nerf himself, leak their tech to the opposing side just to play fair on equal terms… to the point he kinda forgot about his revenge 😂. and love his zakus and his preference of painting his mobile suits RED. wheeeze also we share same birthday so I celebratebrate him more than I celebrate mine. and I wanna buildd his zaku, sazabi, sinanju, hyaku shiki, 👉👈 I have some complaints but everything is gucchi and every scene char is in is so memeable end.

VOD question: Don't know if it's more accurate to say I'm between hyperfixations, or that they just cycle so fast there aren't clear standouts to name. Still falling down plenty of research rabbitholes, which is typical for me! Recently learned more about heavy metals in rice. As a result, I'm soaking my rice overnight and parboiling for 5 min before cooking (proven ways to hugely decrease heavy metals esp inorganic arsenic, which is the much more concerning type vs organic arsenic), as well as trying alternative grains for variety. I cooked millet for the first time last week, and like it quite a bit! Though it is a little annoying to clean out of a strainer after rinsing bc they're small grains. Already I know I like barley, wheat berries, farro, I just don't usually think of them. Others on my list to try: teff, bulgur. I like cooking things that I can plop on top of rice, so whatever can fit in there is ideal for me. Historically, quinoa is my enemy due to the texture. Have also been looking into proper breathing as it relates to neck tension (comes up esp with hypermobility). Essentially, not breathing properly (from diaphragm) increases neck tension and has cascading effects (increases my chronic pain). The exercise I found to retrain is just putting your feet on a wall (legs 90 degrees), keeping torso neutral to the ground, and breathing deeply while very specifically keeping the neck relaxed. Idk what about that position does it, but breathing there feels much better, and I cannot replicate it when not in that position. Work in progress.
