There's a messed up fanfic in this scenario where Sorin and Ellen were never actually in love, but Ellen sneaked a bunch of stories about their romance and marriage into his notebook over time and won herself a rich husband.

It just occurred to me, Ema is actually younger than Maya. She comes off as older. Maybe it's the air of authority from being a police officer, or because she's so worn down by the disappointments of adult life :sosad:
