When they say they want to play Lies of P: Overture! 😼 The fated day was upon us at last! A butterfly gently leading us across the snow... Venturing further into the area, our hero puppet found himself attacked by strange new types of monsters. Further down the line, the still standing zoo greets us but something appears to be amiss. All those animal bodies scattered about had to be a sign of what was to come. This feeling of knowing something would happen solidified itself through the voice echoing in the Halls of Adventure, Markiona the Puppeteer of Death's warning continues to ring in my ears as if it stuck onto me and wouldn't let go. Exploring, a bow and rocket lance became a new additions to the weapons at our disposal as waves of grizzly bears, gorillas, kangaroos and more terrifying beasts yet were fought off. The imposing figure of the all-in-one monster was a testament to its strength, the same as the boss awaiting us at the end of the path. Striking down both, one wonders what lies beyond - what story is hidden beneath all this! What an intro to the stream, saying you'd already been playing the game for a solid 3 hours before even starting at the appointed time in order to progress your old speedrun files, inhaling 20 chicken nuggets as well as coffee and then Flay being the sweetheart that he is coming through to buy the DLC for you! Those snippets of the DMs were glorious, the way the typos progessively turned everything less legible had me in tears. Fighting on the highest difficulty offered the perfect challenge for a Soulslike veteran such as yourself, the rage felt is part of the joy of pushing through to see the results of your hard work! Flay's playthrough voice impression, him going into a monologue as you went nonverbal to focus on beating the bosses reminded me of the old 10 hour race stream and I loved every second of it. Each new enemy proved to be stronger than the last, where I thought those gorillas were giving you a run for your money, the kangaroos pulled up next and then the big all-in-one fella stepped in out of nowhere! Nevertheless excellently played, you practically danced across the battlefield all while learning their ways with each new round. Upgrading the weapon was a smart move on yout part, the perfect strategic retreat. What a relentless first boss, too! Fast, strong and tenacious. Frustrating yet all the more satisfying after you were victorious, never gave in for even a minute! So much fun to watch that and to cheer you on as it went on, Big Challenge's evil twin had quite a phenomenal design with those spikes. Thank you for taking us along on the DLC journey, it's looking like a 10/10 so far and I look forward to seeing more in the near future!
