I've finished CLANNAD Watchalong [P1] yesterday and I really enjoy Clannad so far. Maybe dropping Clannad just because I don't like the art style was a mistake, huh? If not because of you, maybe I'll never watch Clannad for the rest of my life except those first two episodes. I'll continue CLANNAD Watchalong [P2] later since I joined this stream really late, I was sleeping. Thank you for "making" me watch Clannad, Rissa. What an unexpected ending for today's stream.

Thanks for the watchalong, Rissa. It was interesting to watch this anime for the first time, which I had been putting off for a long time with your comments. Great emotional rollercoaster, for me the best is Fuuko arc, very emotional, the others are also good, and Tomoya and Nagisa are the best couple! Now I'm waiting for the second season, I'm intrigued by the further development of events and I hope everything will be fine with Tomoya and Nagisa.

It was absolutely worth trying to balance this with work, been a long time since I've felt that much emotion from an anime and while I _know_ After Story is going to hit me like an oncoming train if this was only a sampler, I'm looking forward to that continuation because this is masterclass stuff

Thank you for the Clannad watchalong Nerissa! The anime did a really good job of not reminding the viewer that it's a VN, and felt like a proper highschool friendship group anime instead, which ended up being very emotionally satisfying Love is a really powerful thing, even if it's one-sided like that, so when the illusion breaks and the twins and Tomoyo come to terms with the reality of Tomoya, it really pulls at the heartstrings The alternate path in Ep24 was super sad too.. Still! It's really cute how Tomoya and Nagisa are so sweet on eachother, and even Nagisa's family are understanding of his situation. Being able to see the full play at the end after it being hinted at throughout the arc was also really special, it's the kind of thing games nowadays would gloss over since it's not super relevant to the actual plot Thank you Nerissa for sharing a show that's special to you with us, it's easy to tell why you like it so much~ I hope we can all find our own Nagisa's or Tomoya's in life too

After all these years I can finally say that I've watched Clannad! I don't know if I fully agree that Tomoya and Tomoyo are a guaranteed bad match, but I understand your point of view. Also, I know you probably wanted to yap about the story some more, so please do sometime when your mic is fixed. This story is well written as you've said, so it's great for discussion. Watching CLANNAD together for the second time was also fun! I'm so glad I got to watch CLANNAD for the first time with Rissa! I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, but I agree with Rissa's opinion!

The ending of this stream was so adorable even in the circunstances ( Nobody expected the improv Nerissa Chapplincroft). She really makes the best out of when EN curse strikes her. Thank you so much for the whole weekend watchalong of a classic anime work. As well as the Nerissium refill . I can't wait for the whole week to pass and see all of Holo EN & guests , But Especially YOU, perform at All For One this weekend ! I know you gonna rock everybody's world my EN- Kami oshi. Lol, what a way to end the stream. Thank you for the stream, Nerissa! Just as emotional as I remember. It’ll be my first time watching After Story when we get to that next. Both exited and scared.

Thank you for the amazing watchalong Rissa, this was a great recommendation. Clannad is definitely not the genre of anime I would've watched on my own, so I'm really happy to find that I enjoyed the story a lot. I can feel the difference in style and storytelling between this era of anime compared with the modern stuff, like in focus of characterization and humor, kinda refreshing to experience it again after watching more modern era anime. I also liked the pacing too, didn't feel like anything was too drawn out or resolved too quickly. And having your commentary and the little discussions of the characters is a great bonus, I can tell how much you've thought about these characters I really enjoy that. I want to say I can't wait for the After Story, but I'd also be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit scared just from the reputation. Guess we'll see how that goes when we get there.
