Today, we've learned that "-nya" can also be used as a definite article (the), and I gathered two examples: 1. BGM nya mati (The BGM is dead). Btw, Iofi says "Aku mati" when she dies in that RAFT game, meaning "I'm dead!". 2. BGM nya enak (The BGM is nice/pleasant/comfy). Some people actually linked the two first words ("BGMnya"), which is actually the rule when dealing with B Indonesia words, since "-nya" is a suffix. I assume that you can have these variants because "BGM" is not a standard word in this language. You might notice that there is no verb "to be" in the sentences above. My hypothesis is that Indonesian people suppress this verb in short sentences (would be the verb "adalah"), and that makes speech easier, of course.
