36:39 hk was my first platformer in a decade as well as the first time since i started playing purely on pc that i needed a controller, if you ask me the ceiling of what you can do with keyboard is higher, but it's also just a pain (for me) to get good at so I switched to controller and I relearned how to use one because at the end of a keyboard session my fingers would hurt

I don't know about "well you can grind and win no matter what" that's every game with a leveling system (in fact that is every game, they're meant to be beaten), like I get the general complaint of this is not engaging my puzzle Brain (even tho there's a lot of battle systems that do Dip into that to a degree if you don't just default to the brute force method) but I don't think i can grind so therefore there is no game is valid

I don't know how relevant the lore will be for silksong but it still is a fantastic game with way more content than the price demands.

I wonder if Yena would like Subnautic because it is an survival game

HK is overrated. Not to say it's bad, it's an exceedingly good game, but it's not the greatest metroidvania. That would be Nine Sols in my opinion, followed by Tevi if you like combat or Rabi-Ribi if you like exploration. HK is a solid third-fourth place.
