Back here to say that for the QoD my favourite classic books that I do think is A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. A Secret Garden by the same author is good too. For things that might be more exciting maybe Treasure Island or even Odysseus (?). I think some versions are public domain which is cool considering we watched epic so.

SO PUBLIC DOMAIN STORIES, HUH?~ Okay, I have one for ya~ it's a personal favorite of mine since I believe it is one viral adaptation away from being turned into Old Man Yaoi. But that hasn't happened yet, so here's the original short story for ya~ It's called "Bartleby the Scrivener" by Herman Melville. If the author's name sounds familiar, he wrote a story about a certain white whale that I legally can't say the last name of in the YouTube comment section. But the whale's first name is Moby, so that might narrow it down for ya~ ANYWAY!~ Bartleby the Scrivener is a short story made by Herman Melville about the very VERY early days of Wall Street. A man hires a new worker for his office as a scrivener (basically the person who rewrites documents before printers and typewriters were invented). The guy he hired, Bartleby, is odd, but at first he does his job. Then he says, "I would prefer not to" and refuses to say or do anything else for the rest of the story. Bartleby is an icon that politely refuses any and all work thrown his way, exclusively eats gingersnap cookies, and would much rather dissociate while staring out a window to watch a brick wall than actually work, and as a result I need more people to read this short story and put this public domain character into more things because we NEED this icon in more works of fiction~ I love Bartleby so much, man~
