How evil can the residents possibly be? This evil! Stark contrast between Grace’s and Leon’s POV, on one side the evil hellscape of horrors and nightmares and on the other action packed stunts. Which is such an interesting take, it’s cool slowly seeing the threads between perspectives connect and have plot points intertwine the more each party finds out. Particularly with the info Leon is gathering! In the Resident Evil gameplay I have seen, this one has to be the first one that genuinely made me feel squeamish watching with how detailed the body horror was. Gotta give huge probs to that, it’s a fine balance between an unsettling atmosphere, monsters and scares that go under your skin, no matter what form they take. However, with you at the helm it’s more fun than it is scary. The way you called plot points before they took place, walked out on zombies nonchalantly and used the RP soundboard for shenanigans made for great laughs! Paired with the game breaking skills making another appearance when the giant monster got stuck steppin’ on the stomping ground was great. Or the time in the processing plant where we learned zombies are organic. More at 8 pm on the Discovery channel. Leon with his cheesy one liners never get old, either. I loved the part where his workout didn’t pay off in pushing the cabinet aside, the gains were for show only. Victor – also known as Dr. Bluud of Resident Evil in my mind now – had the supervillain basement ready, elevator and everything! Wonder what exactly it is that he is seeking in this “Elpis” and why tests returning positive confirmed Grace to be the key he had been searching for. And why her mother had to be sacrificed… He does lock in quicker than the speed of light though, laughed for about 3 seconds before walking off. Looney Tunes cartoon villain man, really.
