I think it is a good decision and it shows other companies that if they want you, then they have to actually provide enough support and give you enough freedom to do your projects. Having enough confidence in your future plans is great (when it makes sense and it makes sense that you do), because that way others cannot manipulate you that easily into thinking otherwise and accepting worse conditions. I am glad you do, many believe in you and will support you no matter what (unless you idk, comit an insane crime, which i do not think it will happen, probably, soon)!
