I think it needs to be studied how thoroughly infiltrated by bad actors the wider phase ecosystem truly is. So many mods, artists and other low level affiliates have shown themselves abusing power, forming cliques, hosting weird inofficial fan discords, doing gayops or trying to creep on talents. Yet they enjoy infinite goodwill and protection. Meanwhile viewers get yelled at for the smallest things, complaining about anything is "bringing drama" and mods on the discords are absurdly trigger happy with bans. Thats not an environment that attracts a healthy fanbase. Most will prefer to watch from afar in other discords that are vtuber related but filled with people that don't have ulterior motives. My own vtuber discourse fix comes from guild discords from games that I play that have vtuber channels.
