Alucard (Hellsing) — First place, hands down, mostly because I literally have him tattooed on me. One of my favorite kinds of main characters: super powerful but somehow restrained. Beautiful design, vampire, incredible voice. Love love love. 2. Sailor Moon / Usagi — I adore how she’s powerful and important, yet still silly and vulnerable. Peak balance. 3. vod qotd (5:28:45): top 3 favorite characters and why hooooooo boy. picking only 3 is tough but heres a few: 1. tomoe udagawa (bandori): i always really loved her personality; she might appear a lil rough around the edges but shes a loyal friend and a caring older sister and shes got cool vibes. shes my very favorite bandori girl and i quickly gravitated towards her when i first started playing bandori lol 2. yusuke kitagawa (persona 5): he's so goddamn cool. as an artist myself i find it fascinating how he tries to find artistic elements in everything he does; i rlly love his passion for art, not to mention his phantom thief design is awesome. also we have the same mbti (isfp) 3. ryo yamada (bocchi the rock): we have a lot in common in terms of personality: prefers own space, somewhat standoffish, doesn't like tiktok... also a lot of the characters i like have dark blue hair aside from yusuke and ryo. naoto shirogane, ren nanahoshi, ichika hoshino, toya aoyagi, kaito...

Thanks for the stream ! It was fun ! VODQOTD; I had to Think on this one a lot so woe essay be upon ye 1. Yuna (Final Fantasy X): I don't want to spoil this one too heavily (even if its a crazy old game ) but outside of design, but she's very much a relatable character for me but also very different compared to like standard/default jrpg protags (who I also love but for their own reasons). Without spoiling too much, she's incredibly selfless and determined towards a cause regardless of what happens during story, at points foregoing her own happiness for the sake of others. If anything I feel that's very much a strength in it's own (and equally tragic but that dives into spoiler and analysis territory lol), but it's still a different type of strength from what I usually see in games. She genuinely is super complex and I love love love her as a character, if anything she's definitely a comfort character. 2. Lio Fotia (Promare): I could meme and say I'm drawn to [vague hand gestures] ya know. but I feel like that's kind of a disservice to him and his personality as a whole. I guess outside of design (his designs are my fav btw) but I am a huge fan of characters with personality types of that kind; passionate and determined for a cause. I won't go into it too much so no essay for this one. 3.Kainé (NieR): my beautiful foul mouthed wife who I love dearly.. I also won't spoil this one too much cause there's A Lot to love about her. A lot of people like how crude she is (which like real 🤝) but I'm just a fan of her and her dynamic with characters in the game and just how everything plays out over playthroughs. I guess in short, she's very crude but passionate/determined but I am a fan of how she's one of the first to tell people what they need to hear, no matter how it's worded. She's very much a real one I feel. And beneath all that, she is genuinely kind and warm to certain characters in the cast or at certain moments. She's also a favorite cause of personal reasons that are spoilers. :)

Luka from Alien Stage! oh man oh man. my sweet beautiful baby boy. i love the complexity of his character, how he’s first shown as the prince of the stage, and has the closest ties to the segyein unlike the rest of the cast, so hes shaped by that because of how outcasted he was by his peers. I WONT GO TOO INTO IT FOR HIM SINCE ITS SPOILER TERRITORY AND I CANT REMEMBER IF U WATCHED THE LAST TWO PARTS LOL… but anyways, genuinely such a good character i wish people would understand him more! hes tragic and beautiful. 2. …Sprmo… listen I HAAAD TO add him here! i know i joke a lot, but hes just so interesting to me. the lore is a bit hard to gather, so i usually just stick to the songs and 3d live teehee. and honestly thats enough! it gives a very good idea of his character! he’s become softer after engaging more with ‘mortals’ and being treated less as a god/demon, but that edge and questionable morality he has will ALWAYSSS be so top tier to me like yess torment that man actually. the line in omen of crows, “what have i done? what have i freed?” yeah that changed me actually. because it feels like even though this is the good ending…. how good of an ending can u really get with someone like that? LIKE YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING??? (tldr; sprmo hits all the checkboxes in characters that make me CRAZY!!!!) 1. tanjiro kamado from demon slayer. okay compared to the last two hes so different because hes such a good person its scary. but ive just always found him admirable that even when faced with so many horrifying things, even when he had every reason to run or go down a dark path he didnt. he stayed good because he knew there were people counting on him and who looked to him when they didnt know what to do, and thats such a heavy burden he had to carry because he was also just a teenager! i feel like sometimes people can see his character as shallow and all he is is just “nice” but hes so much more wehhhhh. and its not like his kindness makes him weak either, his trust in people does not make it easy to wrong him. because hes SMART! THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE STREAM: 2:13:07 it all started with hakkito age census. he was doxxing hakkitos age... nothing new. 2:15:16 Hakka realized that not only most hakkitos are over 30s, some are over 40s (milfkkitos??!) and started getting shy. 2:17:26 He discombobulates. 2:18:20 Hakkitos started teasing him more 2:21:33 FREE VP MATERIAL / T3 ASMR CONTENT HERE! (I said I wasn't falling for that, but listening to it again was another experience...) 2:31:05 somehow offended when being called zoomer (I love how he talked about how shock he was when he realized he's a zoomer during peak collab with jowol and geega) 2:34:34 too flustered by hakkitos he turned his back and hid his face! Well after that was another ~10 mins of him being genuinely flustered. (sorry, I enjoyed watching he suffered in fluster it's very adorable), then after yapping a while he started talking about the age topic again

5:28:33 VOD Question of the Day: What are your top 3 favourite characters in media and why? 1. L-Elf from Kakumeiki Valvrave. - I like characters who are secret agents and such, but L-Elf is so overpowered (he could take down whole governments if he wanted to) it's ridiculous and I'm here for it! He has no need to become a space vampire to achieve his goals and prefers to rely on his own abilities, and I respect him for that. 2. Berkut from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. - I have a soft spot for tragic villains. (Bonus points if they are good looking and there is angst involved.) I can't go into why without spoiling the game, so SPOILERS FOR FE:Echoes SOV: The poor guy, he grows up in an environment where he was taught that strength is everything and was led to believe that he would be next in line to be king. He spent his life proving himself to his uncle (the current king), only to find out that the farm boy he kept losing his battles to was actually his secret cousin and true heir to the throne. He falls into despair and sacrifices his lover to gain the power to defeat that farm boy, but in the end he still loses to him and dies after that. (But not before being embraced by the spirit of the lover he sacrificed.) What elevates this is Ian Sinclair's performance as Berkut's VA, in his moments of despair. This is one of the few times I prefer the English VA over the Japanese VA based on performance. 3. Marcille from Dungeon Meshi. - Her character design is really visually appealing, and she's the right mix of smarts, girlfailure, cynicism, and tsukkomi. I've only watched the first season of the anime and have not read the manga, so I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm super late because work is killing me, but thank you for the stream yesterday, Hakka. It was a lot of fun to banter and gang up on our favorite bird. VQOTD: Favorite characters in media and why? (Top 3) In no particular order! Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon - I've always liked Rei as a character. In the manga, she's very stoic and doesn't get distracted easily by the nonsense that her friends are engaging in (like boys, for one. She notably us disgusted by them) and is a very goal oriented person. I always wanted to grow up to be like her. In the anime though they just made her the adversarial friend lol Jabami Yumeko (Kakegurui) - I have always loved Yumeko not just for her design (hey she's literally me!!) but because the girl plays these games for the love of the game. Does not even care about winning or losing because it's the thrill in the risk. I respect that kind of mentality a lot and wish I was bolder to be able to be a little like that. Third is Alucard from Castlevania. He's a good boy (maybe I have a type, hmm?) who also has kind of a complicated (lol) relationship with his parents. He's very intelligent but also relatable. I appreciate the way they depicted him in the Netflix series because they showed his real sense of responsibility (and the depression, RIP) Also 2:30:03 through 2:37:00 are my favorite. I enjoyed hearing my favorite flustered boy get so embarrassed. I swear we're gonna make the Tiakkito voice pack SO HELP ME

Hakka!! Hi I'm awake and ready for the VOD question!! oooooo.... three favorite media characters.... HOW CAN I CHOOSE JUST 3 Okay!!!! 3rd place: Asahina Mafuyu (Project Sekai) Wow... where do I begin... Mafuyu is really a comfort character for me, mostly because she reminds me of myself when I was younger. I struggled a lot with masking and people-pleasing due to late-diagnosed ASD, and I also felt pressured by my parents to follow an academic career. Unlike Mafuyu's mum, though, my parents were actually very supportive of me once they found out what I wanted to do with my life. I just really empathize with her in a way that I can't describe. 2nd place: Rock Lee (Naruto) Everyone thinks Lee is a comic relief because he looks weird and has this strange obsession with the spirit of "youth", but I feel like he's a lot more than that. Despite not being able to use chakra ( KINDA ESSENTIAL NINJA MAGIC) he's right up there with the rest of the K12. He has so much determination and so much bravery and strength and I admire his ability to persevere in spite of everything he's been through. 1st place: I had to think really hard about this one...and I realized it's Jotaro Kujo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. His love for his family is really what keeps him going despite all the crap he's been through. First his mom, then his daughter... he does hard stuff to protect them. Thanks for doing these VOD questions, it's really helpful to me because I struggle with writing and output so it gives me practice.

VOD Answer for my Hakka-sama! It is pretty tough question because a lot of my memories are almost dead but The three that might have actually made a huge impact on who i am as a person are... Deidara: Yes... THAT Deidara from Naruto, He was the first male villain in the series I fell in love with (Call it an Awakening of sorts) Out of the millions of characters from the entire series of Naruto. He was the one who caught my attention, Something about his character gravitated towards me (Most likely the free-spirited but cunning personality on top of his ability of making explosive out of literal clay.) Plus the only character who was able to Kidnapped Gaara which was huge back then. Alice from Alice Madness Returns: I have mentioned many times before that Alice Madness Returns is my all time favorite game and Hyperfixation. There is some Lore behind the why But Since it would be trauma dumping, I'll leave it with the simple reason. I can Relate to Alice a lot more than what I let on. Those who has played the game, You know how, You know the Message behind the story. This character helped me understand my own core as a person and what I was going through when I first played it. In some ways... She saved me. Okay Last one... Uhm....Yeah Idk how to explain this one. Vexos gang from Bakugan:..... Kid me saw Them and had a awakening too. I'm Sorry but They were Badass back then (Plus I can pick which member I liked the most so having them as a whole group was easier.)

So full of kindness and so self sacrificial to the point he pushes himself to endless exhaustion. Despite all the good he does, he fails to see how others care for him.
