6 hour shiori stream!!! the story and themes and aesthetics were really good!! I really the environments too and how detailed they made them look! seeing the flowers growing everywhere in town and on the monsters is such a nice touch! It does get a little time-loopy at the end, but that kinda makes sense given the connection to Higurashi with Ryukishi, and narratively it was interesting although yeah it does kinda drag a bit gameplay wise. Still a great game to have watched! Glad I caught the whole stream (I did nap for a bit in the middle though )

Shiori was determined to finish Silent Hill F today and she did! Though she may not have gotten a preferred ending, but it is understandable since the other endings require replaying the entire game multiple times. Good job on completing the game! An ending is still an ending. Speaking off, I love how the final conclusion has been teased in the beginning with the sister dressed in traditional clothing and the magazine saying how "A woman is never complete unless they are marries" or something like that. Silent Hill F is a great horror game that many in the future will look back to fondly like the games in the franchise. Thank you for the stream! Hope that you get to eat dinner and get your rest later Shiorin~

The Shadow chase was such a drag. Having both Hinakos changing worlds was really cool though, and the rampage was so Higurashi. I hope this game compells you to play more silent hill in the future Shiori!

Congratulations, Shiori! This is now officially your longest stream ever! 6 hours and 20 minutes. I didn't expect this to turn into an endurance stream, but I'm so glad I was here to witness this big accomplishment! Congrats on beating the game, too! The devs really did an amazing job with the story and the gameplay. It did get quite annoying towards the end. They were just throwing everything at you. I can imagine what the combat would be like in NG+. I guess we know what the f stands for in Silent Hill f. Silent Hill Fighting Thank you for the longest stream, Shiori! Get lots of good rest!

Ayyyy congrats on getting the first ending, Shiori! Time for NG+, but yeah I agree that the game began to drag on a bit towards the end with all the combat (became much much less scary than the beginning of the game) I absolutely loved the story of the game though, I was invested in it all the way through. If I was rating solely on story the game would be probably be an 8/10 for me. Also congrats on your new longest stream lol

Congrats on finishing Silent Hill f, Shiori! I really like the plot, story, and aesthetic of the game. I don’t think I could play it myself because I'd get too stressed. Sometimes, I feel like I can’t catch my breath because there are too many enemies showing up. Still, it’s a really cool game, and I had a ton of fun watching your run!

Congratulations on beating Silent Hill F and in the first in Hololive to do so! Not to mention, congratulations on reaching your new longest stream time record! Woo! Personally, the mobs became less scarier once they kept throwing them at you. They became more of a slog and an annoyance by the end of the game. Rather than terrified, I was thinking more of how we could beat them quick and move on. I wish you could replay it again to get the Ending you want, but I understand not wanting to replay games immediately. I'm the same way! Nevertheless, I had a fun time enjoying the story with you and your playthrough made it real fun to sit back and see it unfold. (Honestly I thought we would have reached the ending an hour ago).

Thanks for the stream Shiori This was such an interesting game with a lot of interesting symbolism and allegories But this is also the longest stream that you've done up to now! Previous record holder was Hollow Knight Ep. 6 at 5:56:34! But really interesting story and I'm grateful to Konami for developing it and providing you with a key

Congratulations for beating Silent Hill F, Shiori, and thanks for the hard work! From a strong start to a somewhat struggling finish for the game, you did well with it considering everything. Wasn't expecting so much combat to be involved in it and so forced as it was and could physically feel how tedious it was getting as it progressed. I still like the game for what we got from it, though can agree that the combat could have been dialed back. Doesn't look like a game that would be rough playing on the higher difficulties any for a more challenging experience since the combat didn't feel that rewarding on top of it. I would usually go for it just as a personal challenge to myself in games if I felt the battles ended too quickly and I wanted to fight more, but I definitely would want to fight less here, haha! All in all though, the story comes from a pretty grounded place for its horror. And does solidify at the very least why the Fox Boy shouldn't be married at least in this ending. Which is interesting looking into it a bit more as I have some details on the other endings now from reading a bit, but not all the game differences for cutscenes, so my details and interpretations there may be off as I start ranting further. My overall thoughts from what I got from the ending path forced on us here is that all the parties were in the wrong, though least of all Sakuko at least. Since we know now this was Hinako looking to her past self, we can interpret a lot of the letters obtained differently. The one that mentioned growing up didn't mean throwing away your current self or shackling your future self or the one that said you weren't forced to listen to decisions once you were an adult that were made for you. Going through them all, Sakuko called her a traitor because Hinako left her, both because of calling her a weird friend and then because she ran off to go and get married which leads back to the prediction you made that Hinako was ACTUALLY the one who was leaving and that was true. She left and got married to Kotoyuki, the boy in the letter, and their family paid off the debt and loans they had. This leads into the parents next when they saw Hinako by herself and why I felt confused at first but understand better now the reactions. The mother was pleased that her daughter was married and about to become as she did, but the father cried when he saw her instead. He wasn't happy that she had to be married off for the debt, and it showed that he wasn't actually ignoring what she was saying but had no way to properly express himself. Just like the female roles were defined, his was too, and he didn't know how to act out of it and express what he felt beyond it. They were still both abusive parents by the end of it, but it explains more why even though Hinako hated them, part of her still wanted them to live out of love and understanding that they were still victims of their gender defined roles that they failed to break free from. Rinko however showcased the change in relations like with Junko. Once she loved Shu, it decayed the friendship they had. They could have discussed this by just confronting each other much sooner, but they both mishandled the situation. Hinako didn't understand her feelings with Shu and told Rinko she could go take her shot, but she clearly didn't believe that and was just trying to avoid her emotions. Rinko never believed Hinako and hated her because of Shu liking her, which ultimately led to the destroyed friendship. Shu was willing to stand by Hinako no matter what, friend or otherwise, and actually just did his best. He couldn't force Hinako to confront her feelings, but he could work around her addiction by giving her a different medicine. But since it was also able to be bought over the counter, there would be nothing stopping her from getting them herself later. That's why at the beginning, what Shu actually handled her in the vision that we saw at the end was the box of red pills. Assumed it was a box of cigarettes, but it wasn't and even her inner Junko tried to get her to stay away from it, as they weren't good for her whatsoever. Junko manifested as the person who wanted to reinforce taking the easy path out. She was the one who taught her about just getting married and conforming to society. That's why she looked unrecognizable to Hinako, looked dead to her, and had the mask that covered the face like all the other faceless enemies. A nice detail to touch on for all the faces, and possibly another note that her eyes were supposed to be lowered to the ground and thus never allowed to see the faces again on top of the other symbolisms it held. Kotoyuki, or the Fox Boy, was the representation of the marriage she was to undergo. That was who she went to go marry before she returned with the wedding dress as the straw that broke the camel's back. He represented everything that she hated about marriage, with the loss of her mind, body, and free will despite the pleasant assurances he would offer her. It looked like from the poster you looked at it mentioned her as a missing person, so she likely ran off and eloped that year for the age she appeared in her mind before she returned years later in her 20s after the marriage. When she returned, it was under the psychosis from the drugs and she went on a rampage, murdering Shu, her father, mother, Sakuko, and Rinko while the police were now on a manhunt for her after. Though I think she may have murdered them at the wedding venue as well when she returned given, she was still in the attire. From what I gathered from looking around, unsurprisingly, the Fox Boy was the main problem all along. Kotoyuki is a descendant of the Fox God, and someone mentioned he looked surprised at her transformation into Shimoroku, the final boss of the first ending. This makes sense, because the Fox Boy himself isn't the Fox God, as Kotoyuki is separate from Inari. Inari likely was the father that Kotoyuki had to repay with his services one day as promised, which was to get Hinako one day in the marriage for it as the chosen woman through the curse cast on him so he would obsess over doing so. Setting aside the UFO ending, it looks like one ending, the "good" ending is Hinako snapping out of it at the altar and choosing to run away with Shu instead. The "bad" ending is going through with the once again arranged marriage, but as Kotoyuki is still possessed, she won't truly be loved and be treated as a doll by the Fox God for its own ends. The "true" ending is her defeating the Fox God and freeing Kotoyuki, but canceling the marriage with acceptance from Kotoyuki and needing time to think before making a decision, going off to be free and live life until she figures that out for herself.
