So there is a way to get double circle affinity for goldship with Mejiro Ryan and Maruzensky, but the bad news is that they would have to be sub-legacies. This means that you would have to gamble for their unique skills. The setup I found maximizes the chance of passing the skills, but it's still unlikely. This involves having the main parents being mayono top gun/McQueen/Hayahide. The Hayahide or McQueen can have both Ryan and Maruzensky. The other parent has to have one Top Gun/McQueen/Hayahide parent, then your choice of Ryan or Maruzensky for the second parent. I would not recommend actually doing this as you would not only need to train the correct legacies, but the sub-legacies as well. You would then need to get lucky with your inspiration events for the actual gold ship. Just wanted to tell you what the most try-hard strat would be. Edit: After some more research, it turns out that there is bonus affinity depending on if the legacies/sub-legacies have won graded races (G1, G2, or G3) or achieved certain titles (i.e. Classic Triple Crown Winner). There is also a bonus if the legacies/sub-legacies have completed the same races and achievements. This makes it possible to have Maruzensky and Ryan be the direct legacies instead of the sub-legacies. This makes it more feasible to build the legacies/sub-legacies, but that will still take some time.

Time of day must have a lot to do with win rate. I did my runs many hours later and even though my ace Gold Ship isn't as min maxed I won 5 out of 5 on two of my tickets.

"Uma Stan" is seen as one of the most important skills in Mid~Long race among JP trainers. (P.S.)"Uma Stan" has been useful since 1st anniv. update. At this moment, it's hard to activate this skill.
