Sad Fire Giant lore: Because their fire was the one thing that could possibly hurt the Erdtree, Marika and friends decided to preemptively kill all of them (hence all the giant tombstones around the Hilltops). The Fire Giant you fight is the last of their kind which they enslaved and forced to guard their Giant Soup Bowl against anyone who would use it against the Erdtree. The reason why his ankle is his weak spot is because he’s injured and uses an improvised brace from the bones of his deceased kindred (which you first break by hitting it a lot).

Fire giant and Niall give lots of people trouble, you did a great job! Also, Haligtree is a very "fun" area, can't wait to see you take it on Thanks for the stream!

this Elden ring series has been such an awesome play through. It’s a Gerald Witcher 3 classic and I love it. I really wanted nimi to do latennas quest since it’s pretty short and nepheli loux since all she had to do was visit the albinauric village but these things happen in a souls game. Hopefully somebody on her next stream manages to convince nimi to collect the death root for the beast clergyman before finishing farum azula. It fine if she doesn’t but I feel like it’s a pretty cool change you get for completing the quest

Melina sacrificing herself is such a heartwrenching scene. That moment where she goes to reach out to the Tarnished but stops herself and pulls back, as if it would shake her conviction to allow herself to hold the Tarnished one last time absolutely guts me. I've always viewed Melina and the Tarnished as having a very close found family type bond and it makes the scene so emotional for me.
