Lance has by far been my favorite way to farm tempered Arkveld. Once you get perfect guarding times down you never have to let up on the offense and lets me get 6 minute kills on 5 star difficulty Arkvelds

Watching this stream made me realize how absolutely broken the GunLance is right now. The amount of damage that thing does while also being incredibly safe is crazy.

Glad to see some Lance love, basically no streamers I know play it so I'm starved for recognition on my main weapon. So often I see people try gunlance instead because of the added explosions but they play very differently. Advice for the future if you were to try it again, use the super dash when the monster tries to make distance. It closes the gap really quick so theres never a moment for the monster to breathe. Be relentless. Hop backwards after a combo finisher if you need to reset positioning since every attack moves you forward and out of the weak zones. Evade extender can help a lot since it massively increases your hop distance to the point where you may beat another player on foot by just hop scotching around

It's good to see you are enjoying the different weapons. I suggest you try focus mode on toggle for each weapon, it makes certain techniques much easier. For example. the SnS slide and Lance guard dash can be done from neutral toward any cardinal direction while always facing the monster. It also makes it easier to circle strafe around a monster while continuously attacking, like with the SnS and Lance triangle attacks. Btw, if you are looking for more challenge, you can exclusively hunt 5 purple pip tempered monsters.
