I think people gather around Gavin because he’s such a character that it’s fun to RP with him. Gavin (and Bettel) oozes charisma and it makes people want to be around him or part of what he’s doing. He isnt trying to interrupt or force his character onto others like some meme RP people are. I do think Barnacles needs to tone down the “Gavin! Do a speech!” kinda stuff but it’s probably because his character sees Gavin as the MC. But we’ve had some amazing stand outs who really gather people around them too. Beef, Jessie, Dog… I think even Dover is the type everyone likes to have around. I wish Sunday was part of the crew a bit more, I enjoyed them in the first day. What are your standouts commenters? (Same as ever: COMMENT SPLIT DUE TO LENGTH; PART 1 HERE AND CONTINUATIONS IN THE REPLIES!) "The end of the world is said to be beautiful..." A rude awakening after sleeping the days away turns into an action packed thriller fight to the finish for Monsieur Gavin, rushing from the debate for the mayoral candidates to formulating a plan to bring Operation Fear Factor's city wide chaos up and running to draw out the Warlock! Having a normal day in Los Santos is impossible, madness is written in the stars. With Beef announcing a big change of plans involving everyone for the upcoming speeches and subsequently falling down the stairs at the political debate, Gavin makes his way to the arena in the usual spectacular fashion of turning his car upside down on the way, flying down the highway and mistaking one arena for the other. No wonder the city ended up having a small malfunction, prompting the nap to escape security to then walk in the front door after confirming with Barnacles! Or rather worming his way in would be more fitting, seeing how our Frenchman raised crawling into an art form. The debate beginning, each candidate's answers truly reflected their character. The Roo Brothers mobilizing for equal opportunities for citizens, Ralph seeking to work together as a community, Dog wishing the hate to stop and all to become friends and good old Beef using his businessman charisma to sway the attendants. It seems as though the Entity had a vast interest in the event as well... Inbetween fleeing from the police who were after Bett'ol for not handing in his weapons or substances leading to him pretending he switched from work to recreational pants, saying he is an officially hired Lost & Found officer before being let go after confiscating his dangerous belongings and asking the officers back for "ze ammer" (where I must make mention of the policeman using the SpongeBob reference to point out him not understanding Gavin's accent; I recognized it immediately and loved it), Beef's response to his ideal date was by far my favorite out of the whole bunch because of how violently evil it was. Which naturally fit his character; nothing like a moonlit stroll on the sidewalk to smack people! All the more shocking and heartbreaking to find out the CEO of Wealth and Money withdrew from the race, making an explosive exit from the stage - in the literal sense! Hearing "I'll miss you, Mr. Bett'ol" followed by Gavin's loud "YOU CAN'T--" tore my heart into pieces. Why do the cruelest of things happen to the best people... What's become of Los Santos, has it plunged even deeper into the abyss? And was the bomb going off a cry for help, or a new conspiracy spun into this web of lies? But fortunate tidings reach us the minute the insanity dies down, Beef is alive and faked his own death! However, he is in grave danger thanks to the Warlock taking him to Mount Chilliad. Desperate times call for desperate measures, making Gavin plead with Dover for his help. They would need every single helicopter, every fighter jet, the magician, the Lost & Found officer, the wizard, the 52 clowns, all of the robots, the pig, the dog, the other pig, the wizard (again), the mime, all 3 copies of Batman, Barbie, Huntrix, the other mayor who was taken away, Ralph, the other debate candidates, all people who hadn't woken up yet, B-33 and about every person in this city! It would be the perfect opportunity to spite the Warlock, as such Barnacles joins to rescue their friend and even Ben reluctantly agrees to drive them in order to grab a helicopter from the Police Dept. What followed was the hilarious continuation to the first rescue mission to set Dog free the other day. Bett'ol and Barnacles struggling on the stairs to the PD's roof to "You're gonna wanna hang onto something" as the helicopter took off, Sir Dungus caught his friend up to speed about being turned into a pig for his hubris before the Warlock's barrier had them jump to evade the blast! Still in disbelief how Ben Drowned became reality while the other two struggled to keep themselves afloat in the water. The telepathy attempt after Bett'ol passed out, the blimp nearly ending the entire rescue attempt and a once more alive Gavin flinging into the rotor blades of the helicopter Dog flew in had me laughing all the way through I was near sobbing when all of that happened! Somehow Beef made it out of his own in the end, giving us a rather exciting motorboat showoff in the process before everyone left for the secret location. Back in business with baby oil and the sun as a paid actor, the scenery was gorgeous through and through.
