I took so much psychic damage from this stream. We will never recover from the Great Butter War of 2026.

my wildest food take: tomatoes are just a fruit. ketchup is just fruit preserved in sugar, it's practically a jam. therefore i butter my hot toast and spread ketchup on it. idgaf if that's a savory abomination, or if you specified the vod question was "wildest food *storage* take", i die on my ketchup breakfast hill.

TY FOR STREAM OTSURUZE❤️ Vod question: My wildest food storage take would either be if you have a significant amount of cereal you can’t finish, put it in the fridge and warm it up in the microwave as porridge later or grapes belong in the freezer always.

Thank you for stream! This one was the crazy kind of fun that makes life hurt a little less, so thank you! I accept these takes as truth except for one, the pizza. I've done that before and after 8 hours there was mold so... I can no longer risk it, to the fridge it goes.

OtsuRuze! This easily goes down in history as one of the all-time quintessential Ruze streams, and should be required viewing for intermediate Ruzaders (not new ones, though -- we wouldn't want to scare them off). I legitimately laughed so hard I almost cried. I can't believe my first ever superchat was about keeping food out for a day and then putting it in the fridge, but I stand by that take VOD question: I've got a bit of a list, most but not all being because I avoid wasting food as much as I can and have developed a few "life hacks" to do so. My apologies in advance for any psychic damage that may come from reading this list.😅 -Sauce packets go in a giant plastic bag on the counter or in a drawer, mostly because that's how my dad always did it and I think it's a fine system. -Day old soda that's been sitting out is still tasty and can be drunk the following day, or even a couple of days later (I also just kind of prefer flat soda). -Most food can be left out for several hours (maybe not a day though) before it has to go in the fridge, even things like cooked meat, pasta, or vegetables. Even a glass of milk can sit overnight if it's drunk the following day. Things don't generally go bad _that_ fast, so there's a bit of a grace period in which they can be eaten despite not being rushed to the fridge. -Baked goods like cookies can go for several days with little storage if you keep them away from bugs (cake a bit less so). -Popcorn is good for a day or two if you keep the bag kinda covered or closed, but after that it gets kinda stale and needs to be thrown out. -reusing plates and cups to some extent can be a very good thing but must be done within reason -premade burgers absolutely can and should be kept in the fridge as leftovers, and if you don't put vegetables on them in the first place their flavor is largely unaffected by reheating; plus some of them just straight-up taste good cold -some varieties of yogurt keep decently in the fridge well past their "best by" date

It's a milquetoast food storage take, but we put bread and anything bread-like in the microwave. We don't microwave it, and there's not a specific reason it's all bread, but that's just how it is. What we DO microwave is a sweet potato wrapped in a wet paper towel inside of a plastic bag. This is real.

3:44 Fridge Lore 5:28 Start Otsuruze! Thanks for the fun stream and terrible takes with food storage LMAO This was too chaotic but to each of their own then, I guess. The aggressive debates and all were still fun tho. The food icon art was also cute, they really seem like childhood drawings and that's the charm I like. See ya next stream then, Ruze 🫡 VOD Question - Wildest Food Take / Food Storage: Black coffee should be consumed purely bitter. If you need sugar, add in milk or creamer. All in the dark and bitter or watered/milked downed. As for food storage, I still stand by that butter (regardless what type and where it is used) belongs to the fridge. No buts. Just leave it out prior to consumption.

The list was interesting, and I’ll rewatch the VOD for a part that I missed. 3:32:13 VOD Question: What is your wildest food storage take? I think I don’t have any. If it’s cooked, it will go in the fridge after it cools. I think the exceptions are cookies and brownies. They sit in a Tupperware on the counter for 2-4 days before they get refrigerated (if there are still any). I remembered something. If anything, I think my Japanese grandmother is wild for not refrigerating apples, pears, and maybe one other fruit. I snuck apples into the fridge, but later on, my grandmother pulled them out, saying that it’s fine to leave them out since the grocery store does it. My apples :(

Thank you for the stream! I have psyhic damage from some of these food takes and I will not quite recover from this. Especially that '24 hours rule' VOD question: this is gonna trigger some people but I do sometimes pour milk before cereal. Reason is that I want my cereal crunchy so I do pour more cereal into the milk and eat.

3:42 Start! I thought the stream title was an exaggeration until I heard some of the takes VOD question: What's your personal wildest food take? I can't recall at the top of my head rn but I'll share my husband's: He believes fried rice with mayonnaise is delicious

Otsuruze and thanks for the food fight. Everything was in good fun except where you're wrong /j Vod question: Soggy fries good (cuz it reminds me of when we get it way too hot and the server closed the bag too fast). As for storage take, put that soggy fries with the burger you can't finish, duh.

the mutual ragebait goes crazy and also we have learned that ruzaders *cannot* be trusted with sauce in terms of outlandish food takes...I don't actually have any I can think of. Pretty well adjusted on that front other than the occasional dire meatgamble ("don't remember when I got this, but it was refrigerated and hasn't turned green-")

As a bread baker: American bread is classified as cake outside the US. I live in the UK and the store bought bread I buy can last up to two weeks, still soft and moist, in the fridge. It doesn't last that long outside the fridge.

Gotta catch up on this one too, not sure if I'm ready for ur cursed food takes 【💢What's your most cursed Food/ Storaging take?】 I don't have a cursed take myself,, I think? Unfortunately I don't know a lot about cooking/ storaging but I've been trying to learn. I know you're not meant to do it but I always store potatos in the fridge bc it feels better.
