While the Cockfighting (Sabong) anime idea was interesting, it has a big problem. In Cockfighting, you can't afford to lose even once since it's basically a fight to the death. So it'll be difficult to build up any significant lore for the characters since the turnover would be so high and quick. Unless of course there was a chicken that happened to go undefeated over the course of several fights (am not too familiar with it so don't know if there were any). EDIT: Lol I just found out one of the main tournaments is called World Slasher Cup.
