the movie silent hill is based on centrailia, the game has snow and no ash. its a whole thing. dosn't help one of the later games uses reverence to the movie to pad its villeins. the second movie is soooo bad its not even fun

Legend says that Silent Hill is based off a ghost town called Centralia, Pennsylvania, a coal mining town where a fire started underground in 1962 and still rages today. Covered in fog, ash, and unlivable.

I sincerely apologize for butting in. Consider having two separate manual saves. You can easily get stuck if you have no resources and a boss fight, for example. (Also you have autosaves.)
