Thank you for the watchalong I'm not a kpop fan myself but really enjoyed this movie! Really wished it was longer so they could have touched on the other characters, but overall the moral of the movie really hits deep for me I know you've been hurt in the past and it's difficult to trust again, but I'll never stop saying this, I'll always be your kindred and be here to support you no matter what form you take, it's still you and it'll always be

Otsu on the watchalong, Vox! This might be the third time I watched the film but it's always been so fun. More enjoyable that I've watched it with you! Your comments regarding the film have been so nice to listen to, coming from someone unfamiliar with this space. I've been in that space before and it feels nostalgic somehow even though I've already drifted away from that part of my life. Regarding what you said in the last part, I will do my best to get my point across here. I've been into a lot of communities all my life(I'm pretty sure a lot of us did), and normally people jump from one fandom to another. We are all welcome to enjoy things we love and it's also fine to move on from it if it's not for us anymore. The word "love" being thrown around so casually is because that's usually the best way to express how much you appreciate something or someone. It's even the first word most people learn first when learning a new language because that's the best, most positive word you can use when you talk to someone especially if there's a language barrier. I understand where you're coming from and your doubts from this word being used a lot, but just because some people use that term casually, doesn't mean it's not genuine. Maybe it's just interpreted in a different way, because that kind of "love" is in a different form, something you might not expect to receive. I may have contributed in this part and for that I'm sorry. I may not be "in love" with you, but I appreciate you in a different way, that's why I'm still here. After all, I'm just a viewer, I don't know you and you don't know me personally. I'm staying here until now watching you because you're a silly guy who loves playing his favorite games with a brain so massive who showed us astounding stories and you also inspired me in a lot of ways! It feels so great how authentic those are. I hope you keep doing what you Truly love doing and not feel pressured on what might people think or say. It might be easy for me to tell you this and it's hard to do, but it always comes down to creating something you genuinely love doing, that's when you will also atract genuine people. Thank you for the watchalong! it was fun and i'm glad you could see the similarities many of us saw too I want to say about the last bit, You are allowed to feel hurt by what happened and how strongly negative people reacted to the changes. At that time people were just purely vile in their reactions and lashing out at you and your works (talking about the people that were full on hating, not the ones expressing concern out of good will.) Obviously both sides aren't innocent, but i'd say one side was a lot more cruel and knew where to hit hard to make it hurt. I know you know there are still many people that stayed through it all and i hope that you can heal from that over time, i personally enjoyed that period of time lore/story wise even when i did sometimes worry about how you were doing. I hope you can get some good rest, take care! love you, always.

thank you for the watchalong! i'm rlly glad you enjoyed the film i agree with some of the criticisms like the runtime, i do wish there was more depth with the characters (especially celine!), although i don't think that the film is meant to be a criticism of the kpop industry but more of the simpler message that acknowledging your truth is much better than pretending that you're someone else (subject to nuance) that being said, i know that what you've experienced is much different than what an animated film portrays, and that kind of hurt doesn't go away so easily. while it is true that there are people who will leave and say the nastiest things just because you've changed, there are also people who stay and support you in their own ways even in change. why? because you're not just an entertainment provider but someone people care about, even if we don't know every single detail of your life (and we don't need to), in the same way that you don't know every kindred 100%, but you care for us all the same. i guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm grateful you're here, and kindred want to be there for you. be gentle with yourself, big guy

As a kindred who's only been here for a year and mostly lurking, I just wanted to say, you’ve made my life so much happier than it used to be. It means a lot to have your streams to look forward to after a long day at work, and I truly appreciate how much content you've been creating for us, especially since you’ve been streaming every day lately. Your feelings are valid, and I understand how you feel. It hurts to see people who once said they loved you suddenly change completely. People come and go for all kinds of reasons, and that's something we can’t really avoid. You're just one person, and we’re all different, it’s nearly impossible to cater to everyone’s preferences. "Let the past be the past till it's weightless." I know it's hard to let go of certain thoughts, but I hope you’ll be able to slowly heal and just enjoy the things you like. Love comes in many forms, and it means something different to everyone. For me, my love for you means wanting to support you in every way I can. I might not have been here from the start, but I’m here now and I’ll be here for a very long time. I know it’s hard to believe when someone says love can be unconditional, I didn’t believe it either. But since I met you, I’ve come to understand that feeling, and now I know it’s real. I love you no matter what, and I truly mean it. Take care.

otsukuma!!! ❤thank you for the watchalong! been wanting to see this for ages, but held off so i could catch it with your stellar commentary :D as a longtime kpop fan it was kinda awesome to watch the movie through the lens of someone who’s mostly entirely unfamiliar with the sphere. your takeaways from the film were objective and pragmatic; which i appreciate lots especially now since ive drifted away from it and learned how to sensibly consume the glitz and glamour of idol culture with similarly untinted glasses. i’ve been mostly a lurker for a long time so i feel immensely out of place writing any of this but i just wanted to selfishly give my own take on your words there at the end. id like to preface that i’d never want these words to come off as patronizing, chiding, or controlling, and i apologize if this long comment on what’s supposed to be a fun watchalong vod throws you off in any way. but i just wanted to say that i’m genuinely here in this community to support you in a way that isn’t asking you to commit to making content that is romantic or sexual in any way. full respect to people here that *are* looking for that kind of experience from you, to each their own. and that there is absolutely no shame in making and/or enjoying said content. this is all just an overly verbose way of saying that i’m literally just here for vox at the end of the day. couldn't ask for anything more. for silly vox, for cute vox, for pretty vox, for any type of vox you feel so inclined to share to us. we’re fans and that’s all we can ever be. it might be easier said than done but please, never feel pressured to fit into a mold that causes you discomfort or dysphoria regarding your boundaries as an artist, a content creator, and/or as a person in any way. setting dastardly high standards for ourselves is a creative's bread and butter; but i know from experience it can easily spiral into stress and feelings of inadequacy which are, for the most part, entirely unfounded! this run-on paragraph is getting a tad too long so i’ll wrap up this unsolicited critique (rooted in concern for you as one of my favorite content creators tehepero :3) now by saying i love you in a hey i enjoy your silly video game streams kinda way. i enjoy your reylo tangents and donkey kong crashouts. i deeply enjoy how much of an unfiltered, raging cinephile you are. your sense of humor is blunt, refreshing. it’s all cinema. vox akuma is kino no matter what he does!!! always excited for future content.️ stay awesome and healthy vox! ❤️

OTSU, I hope you have a nice evening~ About today: It's so common on the internet (and in fandom) that the masses change their positive opinion on someone super quickly because of something small, like their looks, or certain traits they don't like or that aren't "normal". Kindred aren't immune to this. The amount of hate in this world is sadly still very big, and you're someone who tries to spread the opposite, who encourages to be kind no matter what, so I think it hits you more than if you just Didn't care (plus, negative comments always stick more in our memory than positive ones, unfortunately). Especially because these kinds of situations happen a lot, films like this one are important - on one hand, you could say they're downplaying the issue by saying that people will still love you even if you look different when realistically this isn't always the case, but I think on the other hand it's trying to spread that message of accepting others for who they truly are. The more people agree with it, the more people will actually act on it too. For me personally, I'm not attracted to you, you're not my boyfriend-fantasy, or type, or anything like that. You are pretty, but I'm here because you're neat and I love your work and I want to support your journey in this life. The other stuff doesn't matter to me in this way, it's not what makes me stay, so maybe that's why I can say with honesty that I want to stay for as long as physically possible, and mean it in a different way from "love" in the traditional sense. I won't go into the rest since you've already said your part, but I hope you remember that even with all that has happened, you're still here and trying your best and that's worth so much. You have support and kindness and people in your corner, and not just us fans! Love comes in many ways, and all I can say over and over again is that you deserve happiness <3

Migoat thank you for the watch along! Tbh I didn’t expect the movie would hit you that way, but after thinking about it for a while, I think I can get what you felt. Sometimes reality did hit hard when you realize how much it’s different from movie, right? But for my perspective I’ll view it as a positive way that there will still be people staying despite how you change. Well, at least I’m still here right? I’ll be honest that I’m not the person would say love easily. Love is a too strong word for me, so I’m more eager to say I support you than to say I love you. For me you’re more like a family member that I care rather than some kind of boyfriend figure which makes me feel loved, or like an idol. I care about you and hope you can be happy and be motivated with things that you like. However, every single person is different and have their own life experience, maybe some of them turned off just because they’ve already suffered a lot in their life so they needed their own peace. Some of them still cares about you till now, they are just quiet. I think it’s no right or wrong to leave(if respectfully)or stay, it shouldn’t be a responsibility for fans to stay and also not a responsibility for streamers to cater to fans interest. Although I’m really sorry that you have to go through all that hate from some extreme people… I do feel that love is becoming more and more easy to say these days(especially through internet LMFAO)which sometimes makes people doubt the values, so I think your crashout is valid. Also there’s many kinds of love. Is the LOVE between idol and fans really LOVE when there’s a lack of information? Does UNCONDITIONAL LOVE really exist It’s also a great question. But I truly believe that you deserve to be loved, and you are loved, not only by fans but also by your family and your friends. So please be kind to yourself and value yourself more. Hope you can find your own peace and keep doing what you like to do. The past is in the past. You are a talented, funny, cute and creative demon. Keep going, there are more days to come, and more new people to welcome to this community.

I just realised I’m adding too many contexts to make myself sound genuine lmaoooo I hope you don’t think I’m afraid of making you sad or anything, I’m just trying to convey my thoughts as clearly as I can I’ve been watching for 40+ months now but I’m still bad at words and can never be a good yapper like you. As an ESL person I struggle to say “love” to people even if I admire them so much, and I do believe it implies different aspects of feeling to you, as a figure or as a person. So I might interpret it as a romantic type of affection, in a strict definition. I watched you been through various difficulties and I feel bad for not being able to help, even though I’m not really capable of helping. People can hardly understand each other even when they’re face to face, let alone using words online. We audience as a group of individuals, can never represent each other, so I never say anything to you in the name of “kindred”, even though I consider myself as one of them. All I can say and want to say is, I like the things you’ve created with your heart, mind and soul, and I still like it now. I believed that for you, as a demon with human heart, your thoughts and experiences inevitably find their way into your creations, and I don’t think these will betray you or abandon you. I hope you find peace and pride when you look back on the things you created, and I want you to know the fact that they inspired me and have brought an impact to my life that can never be replaced. That’s the reason I admire you and like you, as your heart is why these beautiful experiences will ever exist. Genuinely, I don’t see this feeling as love in even the slightest romantic sense, but still, I will be here. I don’t know if speaking my thoughts will ease you and make you feel supportive enough, but I surely hope to see you achieve more, including being a kinder person to yourself.
