Congrats on completing Silent Hill f! There was so much in the game and this ending that I can't summon much intelligent to say, but it's the kind of story I know new connections will keep popping randomly into my mind. Thanks for all the comparative Ryukishi insights!

I appreciate how this blends together the psychological, metaphorical, mystical, and realist so you can interpret it on multiple levels that also work together. I think that's why the drug ending feels incomplete—it denies everything but the realist

This whole ending was a lot about how societal pressure shaped the character's personal choices, so it makes sense it ends with fighting the gods, who create a lot of those societal pressures
