Fun Fact:We have the 1998 Tristar Godzilla to thank for this trilogy. Jackson was going to start work on his King Kong, but the mixed reception of Godzilla motivated him reconsider freeing him to work on The Lord of the Rings

Fun Fact: Sean Bean is terrified of flying and after a stunt from the chopper pilot, they installed some lifts part way and he would scale the mountains in full makeup and kit to get to the sets the rest of the way

Hot take: The extended editions of the LoTR movies are better than the theatrical cut only when you're familiar with the source material. With one exception, the movies did not suffer from losing the cut content.
