I know CoD gets clowned on these days for what the franchise has become, but MW and MW2 still hold up incredibly well. They got the perfect balance of action hero set pieces and gritty realism, they created TWO compelling, utterly vile villains and they created amazing moments with stuff like All Ghillied Up, No Russian and the invasion of the USA. Never really appreciated the story and the characters when I was younger - I just wanted to shoot the bad guys - but now I'm older I have a new appreciation for these games. Makes me remember why they reigned supreme when they released.

The final push in Whiskey Hotel is one of my favorite video game moments of all time. And seeing all those flares across the city shows how hard the Americans are fighting.

4:48:15 An EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) can be caused by lots of different things. Lightning is a good example. Another example is an electric motor (like one you would find in a electric drill) which uses a series of electromagnets that are turned on and off in a specific way to cause motion. Remember that electricity and magnetism are both part of the Electro-Magnetic force. The way it's depicted here isn't that far fetched, for the same reason that giving your PC a really close look at your magnet collection is a bad idea. Electronics tend to stop working when subjected to an outside magnetic field. So having an EMP occur at high altitude would probably cause no small amount of problems for electronics on the ground. For a more in depth idea the YouTube channel Practical Engineering has a video talking about the effects of an EMP on the electrical grid.

Yeah, Loose ends is by hard the hardest and most rage-inducing lvl I've ever played, and it didn't help that sheperd betrayed us in the end, almost seemingly making the suffering be in vain. Kudos to Bae for making it through
