The most extreme is in a fast breeder reactor. In which 1kg of low enriched uranium produces as much heat energy as 2.7 million kg of coal in a coal plant. Energy density of 80,000,000 MJ/kg and 30 MJ/kg respectively. In a light water reactor its more like 14000x the energy.
