It would have been 666% better if he went with Chris to the chopper but he faded away before managing to say goodbye to Mia. Very sad but he saved Rose despite.

I agree because there was no sense of urgency with the ending and the explosion. Ethan was dying but it went 1000% against his character be like "i wanna sacrifice myself boom" instead of one last bye
