Vod Q: I think people under estimate how many other people are just as introverted as them. It's easy to think you're the only one and "everyone else" is so extroverted, but really half of the ones who might look like they're a social butterfly, probably hate it and are waiting to go back to their own quiet space to disassociate or focus on their own thing instead of socializing.

Thank you for stream Ruze! It's always nice to remember that a million trillion zillion impossible things had to happen to bring us all together in this moment and im glad that against all odds I get to be here with you and the ruzaders as for your vod question I say that i still know too many people who act like playing video games and TTRPGS makes them weird when everyone and their momma is doing both of those things. Also introduce me to 10 people under the age of 50 that hasnt at least seen one episode of DBZ or watched a ghibli movie and I will admit that anime isnt mainstream

Thanks for the stream, and hope you get some good (long) blinks! VOD question: I can think of at least four things: I think a lot of folks, particularly in like their 20s and 30s, still remember a time when geekier interests were considered niche and weird, and are perhaps having trouble adjusting to the fact that now, even most so-called "normies" have at least one interest that could be considered geeky or nerdy (I know I've had trouble adjusting my perspective on this personally). Fan culture is another, as back in like the golden era of tumblr fandom spaces were little pockety niches that were somewhat isolated, but now it seems like everyone and their dog is in some fandom or another. A third would be reading and writing fanfiction and other fan content. And a fourth would be people discussing their f*tishes (idk if YouTube would bonk me for this word but I'm not taking that chance) -- I don't really engage with that stuff at all (being a fellow member of the "I don't give a shit" club), but it definitely has become a lot more normalized. I think in general, if something gets portrayed in modern media with little comment and without a "wow, this thing is so freaky and abnormal, let's make sensationalist content about it!" vibe, and/or you can mention it without people looking at you like you're from Mars, it's become more normalized.

Going back to this... vod question: what is normalized but people thinks makes them unique? Answer: If you had to do something to make you "unique", whatever that interest may be, means you're normal to begin with and just wants to set yourself apart from the flock.. people who are truly unique wants nothing but to be "normal"... that you have to put in a lot of effort just to feel normal and be accepted. When I see people who act unhinged, they're probably, most likely normal... it's an overcompensation. lmao. but that's just my hot take. Whenever I see someone say "why is this anime so underrated? people should talk about it more" and it's the most popular anime/game of it's era. TCG, video games, geeky movies, books, TTRPG, anime, manga, cartoons, etc. They're called "pop culture" for a reason... they're "Popular". if you bothered too much with originality, 9 times out of ten, it already exist and someone already thought about it.

Vod question: I think a lot of nerd culture are becoming normie now with the spread of Internet, heck the Internet itself used to be only forums and chat rooms that you need to hear about by word of mouth. There's many pros and cons, but ultimately I think the pros outweighs it because I wouldn't have found this community without it.

A little trick for Japanese pronunciation is to get a copy of the Japanese alphabet chart, learn how each is said and just repeat it over and over until you remember it. Once you know how to pronounce the alphabet then you know how to pronounce all Japanese words
