To me a great way to write a villain is if they either contradict or compliment the main theme of the story. And what makes eito such a unique villain is that he both contradicts and compliment the themes of his story at the same time. To me hundred line is about humanity in all it's complexity, both good and bad, as we constantly see the best and worst sides of each character in every route and our main character himself having to make difficult decisions for what he thinks is right. Eito contradicts it's themes by seeing all of humanity as just evil. No complexity, no good in them, not even exceptions in them, just plain evil. He views the world in just black and white with himself as the only good human (white) destined to exterminate his own wicked kind(black), a simple and childish point of view that goes against the themes of hundred line. But at the same time he compliments it's themes by not being the entirely evil being we're made to believe, as beneath that hatred he has for humanity is a deep desire for connection that he can't archive due to his blind hatred. Once he found out the truth of his existence he regretted the person he used to be and the believes he has, even ripping his own eyes out just to work with the main cast and reconnect with them. Even in the alternative routes the moment even one of the main cast looks normal to him (Retsnom with Darumi and cult of takumi with takumi) he drops his hatred and does whatever he can to help that person (sacrificing himself in retsnom to protect darumi and joining the main cast again in cult of takumi to support takumi).
